David Mckibben and I were on Coast Guard Auxiliary patrol there today and saw 7 other C-Dorys including Anna Leigh and C-Dancer. The biggest fish (second-hand knowledge) was about 19 lbs. _________________ Patti and Barry

Caught a derelict crab float in Thatcher. We managed to rescue all our end tackle.
The results are now posted on the website _________________

Had a great day on the water with Dwight on Saturday. The weather was surprisingly nice. The fishing was awful. I heard 1100 tickets sold (= 1100 fisherpeople) and 100 or so caught. Not a good average. We worked the areas hard to no avail. Oh well, that's fishing. It might be time for me to start hitting the ocean, or Canada so I can do some catching. _________________ Peter & Caryn

I fished the Columbia on Saturday and Sunday near Scappoose, OR, for spring Chinook. Got one on Saturday, saw another 4 or 5 caught out of about 50 boats. Got blanked on Sunday, and only saw 1 caught that day out of about 30 boats. It's sloooooow everywhere, it seems. _________________ Rick & Shirley

Fished Pt. Lawrence most of Saturday and then moved to Thatcher Pass. No bait at Pt. Lawrence, but we worked it waiting. Thatcher Pass out on sand bar was full of birds and bait. No fish, not even a bite. Pretty day on Saturday. No effort on Sunday with windy conditions, pulled boat at 7;30. Saw Anna Leigh on patrol. _________________ Patrick and Kim Walker

Fished Lopez flats most of Saturday. Had two fish on but lost them both, my bad. Peter was around most of the morning. We moved to Tide point on the ebb but nothing was happening there.
Saw David and Barry on Anna Liegh (CG AUX). We were stopped by the Sheriff for a vessel check later in the day. Skipped Sunday, weather. |

I'm glad we weren't the only ones to blow off Sunday because of the weather! |
