It is getting well into the summer season and it is hard to think about the traditional last CBGT of the season, Cry but we have to start somewhere so here goes.

Before Roger and Janet left they asked if we would consider getting the ball rolling on the
Sequim Bay C-Brat Get Together. Now they set the bar very high and this is a bit of a different crew working on it here, but we want to make it a very excellent time as well. There will be good food Cake , good friends Hug Hug , and good times. Smile (I checked with the weatherman and it is supposed to be “sunny and 70”) so no worries on the weather Hot . The tides will be moderate, and the experience will be beneficial. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

There is a strong possibility of having some tall ships in the neighborhood, we have a world famous lighthouse, and some snowcapped mountains in the background for a photo-op, Photo in case you don’t do “PhotoShop”, and there are hopes for some educational activity as well.

Due to time constraints Clock on the part of the Sequim Contingent, and the previously mentioned tides Moon and weather Rainbow window, we are planning the weekend of
September 11-14. I will ask for a sign-up sheet and get the park reservation in order.

We are looking forward to a great time and making it worth the trip.

This might work for us Harvey. I'll have to check the boat calendar before signing up. Plus, I think it's a better time of the year to hold it. Our weather usually stays nice thru mid-September. After that, who knows?

Thanks Harvey & Deena,

We'll be home in a couple of weeks and start pulling our share.

We broke a bracket for our pot puller so all we're doing lately is pulling pots of very large Prawns by hand (oooof)

Roger and Janet,

Hi and hope no one got hurt when the bracket broke. And think of the muscle you're building and the calories you are burning. Time to pass another prawn Wink Sure glad you are having such a good time. We have enjoyed the updates, photos and following in Waggoners and Douglas' Exploring Guide.

Travel safe and Sleep well,

Harvey

Harvey-
You can count on the crew of the C-Ya to be there!
Lets hope the breeze isn't quite as brisk as last year.

Sure looking forward to a calm and quiet day on the bay. Went out this weekend and saw some pilot whales, Sea lions, Bald eagles, white caps and waves. Saw Peter (C-Dancer) running with the Canoe Journey, and am really praying that they do not get the weather we had out by Dungeness Light House on Saturday. Leave early and go with the early tide looks like the plan for the week.

Sequim Bay State Park dock was full on the inside this weekend too. Two rather largish bayliners, a 45' and a 35' tide on the shore side. Wonder if they had a clue how much water they had under them at that early AM low tide. The tender on the 45 was the size of Oldgrowth's "stretch16".

Wonder if anyone would be interested in some sort of an educational event, (talk, demonstration, etc as part of the weekend? Or if there would be a preferred topic. Here's the place to bring it up.

Looking forward to seeing a rousing, hungry turnout.

Roger & Janet,

Saw your post on the Broughtons site, and noticed you are headed for the 1930 Coho. Sorry the trip had to end for now, but glad you are headed home. Must be you bringing the good weather in. Thanks, the Canoe journey is going to need that as they head across from PA to Victoria Friday morning.

There are 7 boats (crews) signed up for Sequim so far. We are scheduling good weather Rainbow and a full moon Moon for the weekend. Whoops, the other full moon.

There are 7 boats signed up for the Sequim Bay CBGT so far. We have about 200 feet of dock, fresh water at the dock, picnic tables there, and a very nice park ranger. Looking forward to seeing a bunch of C-Dorys there Sept 12-14.

Folks,

Sequim Bay is a beautiful destination for late Summer. Last years wind is long gone and not scheduled to return.

Harvey has suggested a few educational events for the weekend. One might be an adventure in Sunbrella Land for those inclined toward sewing. Janet Clark to host.

A wildlife watching trip on a couple of boats to the Dungeness Spit might be fun too. Monday we saw a Sea Lion, numerous seals with pups, Bald Eagles, Golden Eagles and lots of other shore birds.

If the weather looks good, dinner in one of the covered dining areas could include catered dishes by Cedar Creek in Sequim in addition to BBQ'd steaks by the C-Brats.

If you're thinking about coming, use the sign up sheet at the top of the homepage.
