This is great, guys. Tested to destruction...or, maybe not? It's 17 minutes long, so check it out when you get a chance.

Good god, it worked for me. I'd sure like to see Mike's Dodge go up against that little diesel Toyota....

WOW, Now there is a "Survivor" show for Toyota! Of course any one of his stunts could have put the truck out of action if he were really trying.

Just bought our fourth Toyota yesterday -- great vehicles, and haven't been disappointed with one yet.

I have followed Top Gear, the program featuring the Toyota truck, for last year or so. It is one of the more entertaining programs on cars on television. Where else can you see someone who complains about Lamborghini's and takes joy in trying to destroy a Toyota.

Great clip on a nasty Sunday afternoon; thanks. I was given a beatup Toyota pickup for free once because the owner lost the keys and didnt want to mess with getting new. I just took the steering column surround off and started the damn thing with a screw driver. Drove that truck as a commuter for two years and sold it for $400.00!

It was pretty cool, wasn't it? I especially enjoyed the beach and the building.

My 1990 4Runner has 135,000 on it...and I'll run it into the ground...it's paid for and the money I could put into a new truck is going to a CD instead.

susans toyota truck has 286,000 and counting when we gave it to my brother at christmas. She has had that truck off road in the sierras for weeks at a time. Pats saids that driving it now is like herding cats so maybe it needs some work.

Gives me incentive to keep the ol 4 runner going. Its 11 years old with 105k miles and literally never had a single repair, except for a new hood after somone backed an outboard motor attached to a boat over the top of it. Routine maintenance yes. Oh, virtually all of those miles with the exception of the last 10 or 15k driven in Juneau were in Fairbanks, AK. I purchased brake shoes for it the other day, assuming I would need to stick em on when I pulled the drums off the rear but ended up taking them back, un-needed. I was thiking about getting a truck to pull the CD25 but the "car" seems to do just fine for the short trip to the ramp from the house.

Kinda makes me wonder when Toyota will send the diesels over here...or at least build them here in one of the US plants.

Bought a 89 Toyota in 91 with 22K on her for $8500. Was going to buy new 91 for $13.5K but every time I added on something it was another $1K. Auto trans, V6 & extended cab = + $3K = 16.5K. So, the 89 won for sure. Sold her in 97 with 187K+ miles, for actual cash value of $6K. Not a bad turn for $2.5K. Towed a 4,000 pound boat from Montgomery to Ft. Monroe VA with its 3500 towing capacity...and back in August heats, and it did fine and so I congradulated it with a trans oil cooler....after the trip. Great ride it was. That is just over a cent and a half per mile. Ohhh what a feeling.... TOYOTA

I just gave my son my 1995 toyota 4X4. It had 323,000 on it and still drove like new. Blew a couple head gaskets at different times, and had a timing chain fail, but it was only on its' second clutch. I replaced it with a dodge turbo diesel for the future 22 C Dory. Hope it serves as well.

In defense of my ranger it now has 203,000 miles on it and the only problem with it has been the fuel pump ( in the tank) and one air senser. pulls the boat just fine and will wheel over most anything.

The best return I ever had on a car was a 87 honda accord. bought it used for $800 drove it for 6 months and got hit in the rear by a fire truck. O.K. it was a blazer but it was owned by the fire department. was paid $1200 for damage which I never fixed. Drove it for another 6 months and then sold it for $1200.

That video was sweet. I love My Tacoma v6. Use it to pull my 22ft cruiser all the time. I too wish they would make diesels in the US.
