I have not been able to figure out how to reset the trip log on my C80 chartplotter. I have read and reread the manuel but it must be one of those hidden features. Does anyone know the answer.
Thanks

Fred - I don't know about the C80, but on my older L760 I had the same problem. When you hit the "menu" button, there's a ""track setup" option that comes up, and then a "clear track" option. Clearing the track resets the trip log.

I had the same problem with our RL70CRC.... Tried Everything to get it to reset; just wouldn't.
I finally met a Very knowledgeable RayMarine rep at the Annapolis boat show last October. Here's the answer he provided:
For reasons he couldn't explain, the reset is situated (only) on the depth sounder screen. You will find a button there that will permit you to reset the mileage. I haven't been on the boat to try it, but when he showed me the solution at the boat show it worked.
I suspect the Raymarine software may be similar among the models.
Good Luck!

Thanks for the help. I will give these a shot as soon as I get back on the boat. Sometimes I really miss my Garmin 2006C, the interface was much more intuitive. |

I will go look after work but i think its in, tracks , view tracks, then all your saved tracks will come up and you an choose to save, hide, show or display tracks or routes. give that a try. _________________ Thomas J Elliott

I also have the C80 system. I did not know they had trip information. I knew they had the track feature but I thought it was only a track that could be displayed on the chart. Does this also have the milage, max speed, average speed, and time like the garmins have? |

As far as I can tell it has trip miles and total miles. I am still pretty new to the C80 so I am not sure of all its features. If it has those other features they are not set up as nice as the Garmin. |

Hi Fred,
I played around with the C-80 system today trying to reset the trip log. To view it, I had to add it to the Data Bar Menu. It looks like I've gone 1428 miles in Two Lucky Fish so far, but I could not figure out how to reset the trip log portion.
An easier alternative is to use the tracks function. Start a new track whenever you want and it will keep track of how many miles long the track goes. You can view all your tracks under navigation options when viewing a chart page
I'll chase RayMarine to see how to reset the trip log

Thanks Mac, I will be getting the boat back from EQ tomorrow and I can start pulling my hair out trying to reset this function. If all else fails I will start using the track function and abandon the trip log. You have to wonder what they were thinking when they added the trip log, with no mention of it in the manuel? |

Hi,
I have the C80 and can't find a trip or total miles log. All I can find is a tracks screen.
Where does the total miles screen live?? _________________ George and Penny

George, I am not at my boat right now but I am pretty sure you can only see the trip log if you add it to your data bar.
I finally found out how to reset the trip log. You go into the fishfinder setup menu, toggle down to trip log. It then gives you the ability to reset the trip log, go figure. |

Hi,
Don't have a fish finder. Where do I find the trip log to add to the data bar? Not worried about resetting.
thanks |

George, when you go to the menu that has a list of options to add to your data bar the trip log should be one of them. If you do not have the digital sounder module it may not give you the trip log option but I am not sure of this. My boat is at the marina so this is all from memory. |
