I just missed last year Langley gathering and was hoping/praying that there'd be one this year. I have not seen it in the events calender yet and am beginning to wonder. Anyone with info? |

Yeah, Roger - you da man, this happening again or what? I am PRETTY sure I will have a boat by September! Of course, traditional date would conflict with the Desolation Sound thingee, how about August?

OK,OK ,Patrick
I have my tide calendar sitting here on my desk and open to August.the best weekend for a clam tide is the 19th-21st
Both Friday and Sat. are under 2ft minus tides.at around11:30 timeline
Sept doesn't have tides till 16th-18th.in the 10:30 timeline and about 0.5 minus tide
We have plans for the August dates that would hinder us being able to be there the whole weekend. But plans can change....lol.....
so what are yous peoples thoughts _________________ Roger on the "SENSEI"

Cool, August 19 - 21 it is, we can combine it with my birthday party (August 16, I ain't spillin' the year...) Andersons are there, although I guess some of you may not want to dock next to us until the Airhead questions all have answers!

In a small front page article in today's South Whidbey Times, the City of Langley announced that Ben resigned this week. When contacted by the Whidbey Times, Ben confirmed his resignation but declined to comment. He has 30 days to find alterntive mooring for his boat, and the City has started an immediate search for his replacement.
Langley won't quite be the same without him....

Mac, I just read your post. Wow. Things won't be the same. I was just getting comfortable with the fact that his contract was renewed some months back.
I'll miss him. Think I'll go pay him a visit. |

I thought I should bring this to the top and see what kind of response we get.
as I stated earlier we have a conflict of time commitments and so we will be there part time and probably miss out on the feast Saturday evening . |

Well, I have the coordinates of the DNR beach for the clams and mussels! And as long as you can get the corn to Langley, we're good to go! Glad you brought this to the top, I am not sure it is actually on our calendar...NERDS! NERDS! Can we have a sign-up sheet please? To make the weekend a little more interesting, Langley will be holding the Island County Fair at the same time. It is within walking distance (turn left at the top of the hill and left again past the school to go to the fairgrounds instead of right for downtown). We haven't been to it yet, but I hear it is pretty good.
http://www.islandweb.org/fair/
Also, Langley Harbor has a new Harbormaster - Eric Lampour
Edit update - OK - so the url I attached didn't work. I still can't figure it out, so if interested, use:
http://www.southwhidbeyrecord.com/
and search for harbormaster in the archives box
We will probably drive over since we live ~15 minutes away on the other side of the island, and given the choice of sleeping on Two Lucky Fish as compared to sleeping at home,....well....
See you there
