If you buy Da Nag, I'll do it today...
Seriously, no big rush just yet. I'd prefer to wait for Da Nag to sell, but if Les gets to the point where his 2004 factory quota of 22's is in danger of selling out, I'll consider taking out the big temporary loan and squeezing two C-Dory's down the side yard.
I'd be very surprised if I'm not 22 Cruising by next summer, and am hoping for spring.. |

It is now...
After hearing many fine suggestions, I think some things are best left alone. I like Da Nag, Dana G likes Da Nag, and it's looking like the new red boat will remain Da Nag. _________________ Will, C-Brat Nerd |

Bill and Dana,
I'm glad you're keeping the name DaNag. I've always liked that. Additionally, I agree with your choice of colors.....RED!. A great color choice, but then....in my mind....what other color is there?

Yea, firemen like red. Put the wet stuff on the red stuff and what have you got? A steamy mess.
Missed you at Cornet, Dave. _________________ David and Kate

I missed being there with you. In fact I'm still on duty! When I get off duty tomarrow morning at 1100 HRS (Since I have a mandatory...as in overtime meeting...after I "get off at 0900 HRS"), I will have put in a total of 74 hours of work less 6 1/2 Hours since I came to work at 0900 Hours Saturday morning (while you all were at Cornet Bay). (Therefore a total of 67 1/2 Hours).
However, don't feel sorry for me, because I truly love what I do and many times feel that even though I'm still working, I'm retired. (Love those frequent bursts of days off).
Lovin' those Big Red Trucks and Big Red Boats!

OK - here's the complete scoop on the new Da Nag.
First - just in case there is any doubt left around here - I can't begin to express how great it is dealing with Les and EQ Marine. He's really made this experience unbelievable. I've never experienced the level of customer service and attention to detail he's provided me, on any purchase. The best advice I can give anyone looking for a new C-Dory - work with Les. There is no way you'll regret it.
My basic approach to this purchase has been pretty simple. Get it loaded with every option I would ever want, and have as much of the work done by someone else as possible. While I thoroughly enjoyed the learning experience and rigging of the original Da Nag, I just didn't want to go through it again; I want to start using the new Da Nag immediately, and would rather spend my free time cruising and fishing than rigging.
So...here's what Les has gotten himself into.
- 2004 C-Dory 22 Cruiser
- Red hull and cabin accents, white (no added color) non-skid surfaces, charcoal interior
- Barber Chair - Les will be building this based on the original TyBoo design
- Delete ice box
- Wallas Stove/Heater
- Electric Wipers
- Standard Height Top
- Hydraulic Steering
- Opening Front Center Window
- Swim Step & Ladder (starboard side)
- Inside Grab Rails
- Raised Floor Boards
- 48 Gallon Fuel Tanks (if available)
- Honda BF90 Main
- Homda BF8A Kicker tied to main (port side)
- Troll-Master Pro kicker speed controller
- Dual Blue Top Optimas
- Xantrex Charger + Remote Panel
- Shore Power setup
- Horizon 600G Windlass, Bruce Anchor, 1/2" 200' anchor line with 20' of 1/4" chain
- Scotty Electric Downriggers (brought over from the original Da Nag)
- Trim Master Hydraulic Trim Tabs
- Washdown system
- Stainless motor well rail
- Stainless RADAR/accessory arch (like Fred's Anita Marie)
- Raymarine Super Package - RL70CRC color RADAR/chartplotter/sounder display, RayNav300 GPS and RayStar 120 GPS antenna, 2KW radome, DSM250 sounder module, transom mounted transducer w/depth/speed/temp, ST6001 Autopilot, ST600R Autopilot remote in cockpit
- Icom 402 VHF
- Camper back canvas/frame (King Marine)
- Two piece storage cover (King Marine)
- Pacific Tandem 5000lb. trailer w/disc brakes
Looking like a mid Februrary delivery. Hopefully you Northerners will be up for a little late winter get-together, but we'll have to work it around Reverend Dave's schedule this time. His attendance will be mandatory. |

Man, Bill, what a list! You are getting yourself a boat this time! You're right about Les - I still can't believe you're getting the whole works for a hundred and eighty five bucks!

Looks great Bill. I posted the web site for those slick quick bimini fittings if you are interested. The only thing I think you forgot was the 12VDC plasma TV/Chartplotter/DVD.

You're right Tyboo...it was one heck of a deal. I can afford to do that since I now know where the money is (nice truck BTW) and I have the boat here that will allow me to "balance the books". _________________ Les

Well done Bill,
Wow, you and Les cooked up a sweet brew with this one! Reads like a Xmas wish list, built to last a lifetime. Very, very nice and I have to add..........great color choice. Hard to find any room for improvement on this baby, you nailed it!
