How I would love to be there!
My boat is not quite here yet -- has finally reached the dealer after long delays in shipping from the factory, but is still being outfitted -- and while I'm hoping for delivery this coming week, even best-case the timing just doesn't work for a trip Down East so soon.
I'll really be looking forward to photos, and I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that this will turn out to be such a blast it will become an annual get-together. Next year, I'll be ready .
Safe travels, and good times --

Susan,
If things get moved up, give a call. There is no telling where we might be.
Others:
Thanks to those of you who have responded with phone numbers.
The campground tells me that they have Wifi in the store, a public landline and sometimes cell phone coverage.
Are there any golfers in the group? Penny and I may try to find a course for a round or two.

Becky and I plan on getting to Maine on July 13th. We will not bring the C-Dory, but will have our little runabout to meet up with anyone planning a gathering. Our summer is crazy with our son's wedding and all the required gatherings, but we'd love to meet up with any C-Brats that get together the weekend of July 14th or later.
George and Penny, I've sent you a PM with my cell #. We hope to meet up with you then

How does a rendezvous in Smith Cove near Castine work for July 14 or 15? |

July 14 or 15 would work out fine for Leslie and me in Smith Cove. We can offer a beach with very chilly water and a nice mowed meadow behind it. It's a good picnic site. And one mooring. Anchoring is easy anywhere in the cove. It's about 20 feet with good holding and good protection.

Sunday the 15th would be better for us as we won't be arriving in Trenton until late on the 13th. That will give us a day to get organized! Is there a launch ramp in Castine or nearby? |

There's a ramp in Castine, and also one in Smith Cove on the Brooksville side. The Brooksville ramp is best used right around high tide. We have launched and pulled our CD22 there. |

Let's make it a definite maybe for the 15th - weather permitting.
Dun,
Are you now bringing the boat?
Penny and I will be leaving tomorrow morning and may only be "reachable" by phone. We will answer the phone and check messages.

No George, we're not bringing the C-Dory for a number of reasons. We have a 14' aluminum skiff in Maine which can be launched just about anywhere, and we'll use that to meet up with you guys.
Rick and Carol on "Hunky Dory" won't be joining us. Rick needs knee surgery and isn't able to do much till then.
Dave and Valerie of "Widget" had expressed interest in joining up with us since they have a place nearby. I haven't heard from them in awhile. Are you out there Dave? |

Hey Timur,
Can you give me that address of the ramp in Brooksville. Is it on Smith Cove? If I get a road name I can find it. Can I launch a skiff at less than flood tide?

The ramp in Brooksville is off Rt 176, Coastal Road, about a half mile north of the town Library/Fire Department building. If you are going north, look for a sharp turn downhill opposite a big white farmhouse set well back from the road. By mid to low tide the beach is long and muddy, so it's best to try and be there near high water. |

Thanks for the info. Not knowing what the tides will be on the 15th, I think I'll go to Castine. Were is that ramp? |

High tide in Castine on 7/15 is at 12:28 pm. We have 10 foot tides here.
The public ramp is right at the town dock. It's a pretty good ramp. If you let me know when you'll be there, I'll be around. |
