Jim,
If you'll check the signup list, you'll see that Sea3po has also signed up.
Fishtales and crew is in.
Looking forward to the trip.
We have a long drive home Sunday, so we'll be pulling out early Sunday morning from Rio Vista.
Thanks for all your hard work and dedication, _________________ Roger

Jim and Kathy,
We are so excited about this trip and seeing everyone again--I can't wait! Please let us help with anything that we can. Food assignments or anything else. This trip was so much fun last year--we promise not to whine even once.

Well, ok, I'll go again, but can't you pleeese have excellent weather, flat waters, etc. etc.. please, please???? Oh, hell, bring on that San Pablo....what's a little blood on the deck!!
Hey, Jim, looking forward to another great adventure. Now that I've got a Wallas...bring on the cold, rain, whatever!! Bring lots of pics from the Olympics.
If we're going to leave Rio Vista by noon on Wednesday, I'll probably arrive Rio Vista on Tuesday, since it's about a 7 hour drive.

Dear All-
Six of the eight boats have confirmed attendance (either publicly or privately) at this Extravaganza. We are very excited about the attendance turnout.
As of yet we have not heard from Sealife or SeaSpray. We have also not heard from any other new folks.
Now is your chance folks to get on board the Delta/Bay Extravaganza Train. We promise you that it will be another unforgettable trip.
Please remember that you have only until Friday, the 17the of this month, to make up your mind for a trip that is two months out. Plan ahead now to make sure that you don't miss this opportunity! _________________ Jim on M/V Pounder

Jim,
I know my posts are confusing. I selected a username before a boat name. My user name is seabran wich is on each post where most have their boat name. My boat name SeaSpray is only shown on the link to my album on each post. |

All Right All You C-Dory Buckaroos:
The bell has been rung! The sign-up period for the Great 4th Annual, Delta-Bay Extravaganza is now officially closed. We have the following enthusiastic, confirmed attendance of nine boats and 16 folks:
1. Pounder (2)
2. Discovery (2)
3. Dinner Belle II (2)
4. Fishtales (2)
5. Dora Jean (2)
6. Islander (1)
7. Sealife (1)
8. SeaSpray (2)
9. SEA3PO (2)
We are very excited about this attendance and participation. Eight of the nine boats are veterans of this journey, and we welcome SeaSpray as the new attendee.
As a point of clarification, the thread header says this gathering is from 5/17 to 5/20. For most of the folks on this trip, the dates are actually 5/17 to 5/21.
Jim H. from the Bay Area, a C-Dory fan, has indicated that he will stop by at Petaluma or Sausalito to visit with us. He has offered to perform courtesy Vessel Safety Checks to anyone who wants them as he is a member of the local Power Squadron.
Now that we have our attendance count, we will go ahead and make the necessary marina reservations for everyone. I have off-web site input from some you to make reservation adjustments for your individual specific schedules. We will talk further with Dinner Belle II regarding the duck club logistics.
In approximately two weeks time we should be reporting back with marina details, information on our planned dinner meals, and activity specifics. Again, thanks for everyone’s participation. We expect this 4th Annual Journey to be the best yet. |

Dear All:
The marina reservations have now been made. We are very pleased with the facilities for this year. Below are our confirmed marina facilities.
There is no need for any deposit payments up-front from anyone. Everyone will pay his or her own marina fees as we go. Please note the cash requirements at many of these facilities.
1. Wednesday, May 17, Delta Marina, Rio Vista,
Harbormaster Bill (707) 374-2315
· $10 launch fee
· Park vehicle and trailer in gated lot at end of Marina, one day free parking, then $5 per day
· $14.30/night at dock (Fishtales only)
· Total cost for everyone but Fishtales and Dinner Belle II equals $30
($10 + ($5 x 4))
· Credit cards ok
Wednesday, May 17, Wheeler Island Private Duck Club
· No shore power or water hookups
· Restrooms
· No dock fees
2. Thursday, May 18, City owned Petaluma River Turning Basin,
Petaluma Visitors Center (707) 762-2785
· $20 per night per vessel, regardless of size
· Cash only (no credit cards)
· No rest rooms or showers, numerous local restaurants and businesses nearby in the downtown
· Shore power and water hookups
3. Friday, May 19, Sausalito Schoonmaker Point Marina
Harbormaster Mike (415) 331-5550
· $1 per foot, so either $22 or $25 per night, per vessel, depending on size
· Cash only (no credit cards)
· Rest rooms and showers
· Shore power and water hookups
4. Saturday, May 20, Jack London Square Marina
Harbormaster Suzanne (510) 834-4591
· $1.50 per foot, so either $33.00 or $37.50 per night, per vessel, depending on size
· Refundable deposit for gate key ($25)
· Cash only (no credit cards)
· Rest rooms and showers
· Shore power and water hookups
xxx
In summary, total marina costs for a 22-foot vessel will be $105 ($30 + $20 + $22 + $33). Total marina costs for a 25-foot vessel will be $112.50 ($30 + $20 + $25 + $37.50).
Total marina cost for Fishtales (not going on entire trip) will be $101.50 (($14.30 x 5) + $30). Total marina cost for Dinner Belle II will be $20 (just Petaluma).
xxx
Future communications will discuss food, activities, and more detailed logistics. Again, we are very much looking forward to this Extravaganza. |

Jim,
Thanks for all of your work.
We will join the group in Rio Vista and the Duck Club. After the duck club we will be going back to Rio Vista and do day trips from there to explore the upper reaches of the delta--- and a little fishing---- if the state will still allow fishing for sturgeon- looks questionable at this time. |
