Pat-n-Patty: Thanks for Doug's hookup. I knew I could count on you. I like the idea of some of the red lights for night vision purposes in the cabin and in the rear cockpit area too.... and my 18Angler will more than likely become my night time cruiser due to no tented glass..... and the more open area feeling which will help on the hot summer southern nights. |

Capneo,
I would like to see the nova light you posted about but theledlight.com site is terrible for searching! I have not been able to find it.

Steve, I didn't get down to the boat this last weekend to check on that bulb, but I think that it is a SeaFit LED cluster lamp that I bought at West Marine.
The Mega-lite that Casey had the URL for is also sold in the 2005 West Marine catalog on page 702. Looks like the same light. It is priced at $40.99. Robbi _________________ 2023 C-Dory 23 Venture Sport

Steve,
Agreed, cetsolar is a pain in the rear to search/navigate. Go about half way down main page to "12volt dc led fixtures" (just above flashlights) with several bulleted parts, including "cieling fitures," then go to the bottom of that page. Going to double-check after this : ) |

Drat... they won't let me link to the picture...
Here is a link that SHOULD take you to a thread on IFish.Net...
Half way down the page is a picture of a boat with Red LEDs in the cockpit. I just have to get that installed on the 27!

Will be looking at the boat show for new lighting options.. I can not believe that every original light on the 1985 version of the C-Dory bought does not work. The anchor light does, the dome light inside does, outside one does not neither does the single red/green navigation light. WOW.... I had to put a new transmission in my 84 Volvo too when she hit about 327K miles..... Grin. Had an entire day to play on C-Byrd Will post there results.
Byrdman.....counting the days to the boat show.....no matter when it starts. |

I added the radar arch myself and it came with the anchor light tube to position the anchor light above the radome. Since I have a boat cover I wanted to be able to move the light so it would not be the high point when the cover is on. I did not really want to just undo the nut and bolt and let it hang by the wires.
I finally found a solution. I found a site on Ebay that has marine hardware. They make stainless hardware not available in the stores and they have good prices. Here is the link:
http://stores.ebay.com/Julia-Steves-Boat-Marine-Hardware
I bought some rail jaw slides from them and there was a shipping problem so they sent me the rail hinge for free.
In my album on page 4 are some pics of how I used a rail hinge to be able to raise and lower the anchor light. There is a pin the is inserted in the hinge to keep it in the up position.
I don't have the light yet but I am looking at some of the LED anchor lights.
