Holy jumpin' up and down C-Dorys! Imagine what it would have been like had we planned something. E&B are gonna be surprised when they roll back in.

I wrote myself a note to call the harbormaster tomorrow and ask him to try and get all the C-Dorys within shouting distance of each other. There will be plenty of room.

I don't know what we're going to do for the potluck affair. There isn't a picnic area, and the parking lot is no fun. I mentioned that to Roger this evening on the phone, and he said to just do it on the dock. "We did it before!", he says. He and Lisbeth will be honored guests aboard the TyBoo for Friday night. I just told him to be ready to go fishing at 10:00 Saturday morning!

Kay says she will whip up a batch of clam chowder to bring down. I am also trying to talk her into frying up the last package of razor clams we have in the freezer. There are only 15 of the things, and they have to be tried by all who haven't tried them. If you northern folks like the mollusks you yard out of the rocks up there, you're gonna love the tasty bivalves we finesse out of the sandy beach down here. I got a feeling we will be able to convince at least Roger and Pat that they should whip down here for a couple of our clam tides next spring.

Oh yeah, it might be raining, too.

Holly Jumpin Up And Down Gizmo Man,
I got clams my own self and I can sure break a few of the little fellers out of our stash too. Don't mind giving up that prize especially with the razor clam season about to reopen at the begining of the month. How you going to cook the tender little rascals?

This gathering sounds like it's starting to get in hand. I hope some more folks take advantage of a good time at the home port and besides, a little rain is just a warm up for Olympia.

Tim

We only do them the way my grandma did. Flour/egg batter and fry 'em hot for one minute each side.

Talked to Raven Dave this evening. He said he had already talked to you, and that he and Chuck are both planning to come down and meet the crew.

Looks the tide will be right for fishing from the bridge down starting about 10 or 11 Saturday. The silvers will either be thick or gone. I vote for thick.

Oh no, no problem. I got a burner, a full bottle, and a couple sizes of pots. Don't have far to haul it, either.

Besides, I don't want you to get too tired out hauling stuff. You have to get up early for fishing. I will be down at the dock and ready to go about 10:00 Saturday morning, ya know. Now tell me the truth - ain't it better to get up for a boat ride at 10:00 than it is to get up for a tractor ride at 5:00?

Don't worry about the fishing gear. There will be plenty to go around.

I'll be coming alone or with Austin, leaving as early Saturday morning as I can drag it out of bed (Patty will be on a wine tour with daughter Lydia and some other friends). Oh, yes, the durn dog will be coming (tip o' the hat to Tyboo!) So, what is the exit from I-5? I gather I exit on the Washington side, go over a bridge from Longview and just head west on Hwy 30...but it would be helpful to have a freeway exit number...

Glad to hear you're coming down, Pat. Head accross the Longview/Ranier Bridge, .... coming off the bridge take Hwy 30 west to Astoria. Go through Astoria and accross the Youngs Bay Bridge, follow the signs to Warrenton. (Turn right just before the shopping center) Just as you're coming into Warrenton there is a Bait Shop called "Tackle Time" on the left. That's where you want to go, just drive around their building under the bridge and you'll be in the Warrenton dock parking lot. Look towards the water and you'll see some C-Dory's. That'll be us. Mr. Green
Boy, I'm pumped. I've been couped up in the house nursing a sore back for the last month. It's sure going to feel good to get out and do some fishin'.

Ok
Yes,MIKE, it is far more enjoyable to get up to fish whatever time it is ....lol....
the worst day of fishing is always better than the best day working !!!!!

I will forget about throwing in the burner and pot. we are gonna bring down a special treat for ELL, and the rest of ya too ...lol...

as to the fishing- Thanks Larry for the Offer and thanks Tyboo for your generosity. I guess we will have to play it by ear as to what transpires.

We'll be anchored tonight in the vicinity of Wallace Island and be using Clifton and Prairie channels and proceeding through the Knappa Slough to Tongue Point arriving Warrenton later tomorrow afternoon. Saturday we'll be able to stay for a bit but need to do some exploring in the Gray's Bay area and also look at some property on Deep River before stopping for the night in Cathlamet.
Looking forward to my first C-Brat happening. (Is there an initiation and if so, will I have to eat anything blindfolded????)

Pat

I don't know the exit number, I only know it as the Longview/Carrolls exit. It'll be about the 3rd Longview exit as you're coming from the north on I-5. From the Longview/Carrolls exit head towards Longview. Take the 3rd St. exit then take a left onto 3rd St which will make a bend and become Industrial Way. Stay in the left hand lane. Industrial Way will take you right up to the approach to the the Longview/Ranier Bridge.

Chuck, I suppose we could put a blindfold on one of Mike's Razor Clams, though I'm not sure where their little eyeballs are. Mr. Green Looking forward to meeting you there.

I don't really know, CM. All of the many times I have made the trip to see you, the sheer joy of being in your company has made the distance insignificant.

Tiffany was really hoping you would be here, but she understands why you can't.

Pat - I do believe it is exit 36, but I may be wrong. Larry is right on about it being the Longview/Carrols exit. I think it also says on the sign something about the Longview industrial area. It is not near as complex as it sounds. All roads lead to Oregon.

Well, looks like Laurie and I are gonna come down sans boat, due to our time compression. We plan to maybe stay at the H.I. Express I think. Couldn't pass this chance up to visit with El, Bill, and all of ya !!
