Gizmo,
I have always had the cursor position on the data bar instead of boat position. I can move the cursor to where-ever and measure the NM and M direction to the cursor and if I want to know where the boat is just press the soft key for cursor/ship position. The boat position is also always on the VHF if you have it connected for DSC, which everyone should have.

Jordan with Polar Wire diagnosed a bad circuit board in the radome, sent back to Ray Marine for repair.

I learned about "Response gain" setting today from Starcraft. Mine has been set on 5, since i last changed my battery. For me, correct setting is 2, allowing for quicker adjustments to heading. This is a setting for AutoPilot
