Guess the difference in price is "yacht" vs. commercial / work boat prices.
Thanks for the pictures -- you always have interesting ones.
Curious: Does anyone know what the boat with the net canopy is used for?
Would not be much shade!! _________________ Michael

Look closely between the photos, and you'll find this:
"Merry shot some topside photos of the smoky sunrise, Lake Pacific at Marineland and SpaceX's nose-cone-catching boat, Mr. Steven."
Like to see how that boat works?

Well, that recovery method is certainly thinking outside the box.
I just figured that the shroud would come down by parachute and would simply land on the net. The whole parasailing thing is a bit of a surprise. |

Thanks Pacificcoast for several reasons:
1. I know at least 119 gallons in my Tomcat are useable. What is the lowest you have run the tanks.
2. I will no longer complain about the added cost of ethanol-free gas. It's $2.60 here (NE Oklahoma) versus $2.31 for 10% ethanol
3. My better half just saw 10% ethanol unleaded at $2.00/gallon in town. I feel happier already after seeing the costs in your post _________________ John & Vicki Clark

We took it down to 138 gallons once and ran out of the starboard tank a mile from the fuel dock. We figured there are at least six gallons of unusable gas in each tank so we add a buffer and try not to let it get past 125 gallons.
We were shocked to see $3.80 on the receipt. That's the same price at our local
gas station near our house. It's usually a lot more at the fuel docks. I felt like I was rushing to get out of there before they realized their mistake. |

I don't know about the fuel tanks on a Tmocat, but 5% unusable fuel seems like a lot. |

This is why I keep my boat on a trailer. I'm not that far north of you and I'm paying 3.15, though everyone at the gas station hates me. _________________ Conrad Metzenberg
