I haven't taken out the 25 for over a month. Tomorrow I am heading out from Guemes Is. and ending up at Fossil Bay, Sucia Is. for the evening and night. Anyone wanting to join up on the way or at Sucia, your presence is welcome. Just me, no Kate, no kitty. _________________ David and Kate

Hi David, Wish we could join you! When I told Joe that you'd be going to Sucia, his eyes lit up....but we've got basketball games tomorrow and then down to Elliott's on Sunday......we'll have a mini CBGT yet before spring up here in the north end. R-MATEY needs a good run! See you next weekend at the SBS/CBC!

Hi David,
What a great opportunity to go out with you... but with the weather forecast of increasing winds on Sunday, we are going to pass. We did seriously consider it as we are home this weekend for a change.

The weather was so great last week, and I was SICK with a stoooopid sinus infection I've been wanting to take the girls out on an overnight since about November, and have just not had a weather window I was happy with.
Until last week. And I was in no shape for it.
Anyway, I mentioned this Sucia trip to them, and they would love to go...one of these days. They often mention Sucia Island to me...no surprise, of course, it was my favorite when I was a kid, and I think I kind of hyped it up to them before they visited last summer. Luckily, Sucia lived up to all the hype.
I like the idea of informal, non-binding gatherings like this. "I'm headed here this weekend, if anybody wants to tag along." Good idea. _________________ Timothy R. R. Flanagan |

I really like the idea of "mini" CBGTs - not measured in how many people (the more the merrier!) but just in how big a production it is! A "mini" CBGT at Sucia or Stuart (or Andrews Bay for that matter) in the off-season does not entail anybody having to make reservations for dock space, reserving a hall for the potluck if it rains, lining up restaurants for Friday dinner and Sunday breaksfast, or all the other stuff that goes with putting on a "major" CBGT. All a mini CBGT entails is somebody saying where and when and everybody showing up...I say go for it - go for LOTS of them!
