Since the top of a C-22 isn't flat and the bottom of a radar radome mount or strut is, what creative methods have C-Brats come up with for the interface between the top and the radome/strut beside tried and true spacers and caulk? Any elegant solutions?

Jenny B update: Yamaha is hoarding the new EFI 75 hp 4 strokers. Not available anywhere (yet). Sigh. Heading for a banner year in San Diego and me without a boat. Crying or Very sad

It's flat enough, don't worry about it - you can see pics of the ScanStrut PowerTower I installed on my CD19 here. The 22 has the same roof shape. If you really want to, you could put a washer or two between the strut and the cabin under the outside bolts, but it's really not necessary.

To give it a nice finished look, get some blue painters tape, and mask the edge of the roof about 1/4" out from the base of the strut. Then fill the gap with white silicone - the places where the gap is just slightly larger from the curve of the roof will then have a professional appearance.

Pretty conventional, Bill, and it should serve well. Thanks. That's the same setup as the Rana Verde. Jeeze, they better deliver the Jenny B soon - my garage is getting stuffed with add-on's. Rolling Eyes Unfortunately it now looks like Halloween will be the likely arrival.
