out of the box rocket launchers for 22 cruiser

Looking for a good out of the box set of 6 rocket launchers for 07 CD cruiser, wondering what others have used? I don’t have a radar arch so will be attaching directly to the cabin, but maybe a radar arch in my future? So just wondering what are some good options.

You might try one of these 6-rod holder racks that can be bolted to the outside of the cabin bulkhead below the starboard rear window and near the cockpit floor:

They also come in 2, 3, and 4 rod models. If you go to the WM catalogue, you will find several brands and variations.

Then add one of THESE at the downturned edge of the cabin lip to hold the tops of the rods:

I added an eyelet on either side of the upper rack and a small bungee cord to hold the tops of the rods firmly when traveling at speed and on the trailer. You can see the top of the set up in this photo from Eagle Lake:

ADDITIONALLY, you can make a box that fits over the lower holder and reels that locks them down for secure storage overnight or at the marina. Tyboo Mike did an outstanding job on building one out of "plastic lumber" on his original CD-22, but I can't get into the Cockpit and Accessories Detail Photos for some reason right now to see if there is a photo there.

A couple of years ago, a bunch of us ordered custom made launchers for the CD 22 roof. They were stainless and had 6 tubes. If you do a search on the site, I think you'll find them and an address in WA state to get another one made. I think it was about $175 to get one made and shipped to the right coast. I'll look when I have time.

Seems like Sneaks has made a nice offer. I guess the launcher didn't fit quite on the high-top, but it sure has done me well over the years, and looks good too. Of course, I'm a bit prejudice, since I had them built. They really don't, and most likely wouldn't interfere with a radar arch. Look at the photos of the boats they are on........If I had a C-dory without the launcher, I definitely would get it again. It should make some good trading material on this site for fishermen. How much do you want for it -- I've got a friend or two that have c-dories that could use it, especially if it is less money than it originally cost us to have built........ Sorry that it didn't quite have the correct curvature for the high-top, but it works fine on the standard 22 cruiser. Ron

I have a 93 Angler and it came with 7 "Tite-Loc" Rod Holders (Rocket Launchers) as can be seen in my Photo Album or here:

I think I'll ask to take time out on the Report from the Poop Deck to make a small, non scatalogical* point:

I'm thinking that the large rocket launchers are, by scale, more suitable for large fishing rods with long and/or large butts (another delicate point of discussion, see Search for "Ballast"), and therfore susitable for rod such as those used on the ocean or similar. I don't see them as being well suited to smaller fishing rods (or butts) more suitable for inland waters.

Does anyone else agree with me, or do we disagree and need a "re-buttal" discussion?

*scatology: the scientific study of animal droppings (feces), hence, the existence of the expert in the field, the scatologist....

From a practical point of view, being able to identify animals from their droppings is analgous to doing so by their imprints (tracks) or other signs, an important skill to hunters, trackers, enviornmental scientists, etc.

I was actually just referring to rod storage, not trolling usage, but the fit of the sleeve would indeed be the key, although many of the freshwater rods have very short butts below the reel seat that wouldn't give but 8 inches or so of overlaap with the sleeve, so the fit would have to be pretty tight in choppy water.
