Hi everyone,
We are new owners of a CD 22 cruiser, and have been reading c-brats postings for a while before we actually got our boat. Valkyrie, we have the boat that was at the Miami boat show which you mentioned, and in that boat test video associated with it. We got the boat from Wefing's Marine in East Point FL. Just now NoddyBleu is at home in Panama City Beach FL, but she will spend a lot of time in the Southern Gulf Islands of British Columbia (northern part of the archipelago that includes the San Juan Islands of Washington state.) We are old time sailors, and this is our second venture into strictly power-boating. We also have an old Com-Pac 19 sloop, 'Winkle, who we are trying to modernize a little.
NoddyBleu came well equipped, and the seats are Sunbrella. Some sort of seat upgrade has just arrived for the seat cushions (of the sliding settee berth?) We've met a couple of owners who have got boat-show models and been well satisfied with them. We will keep you posted as our learning curve goes on. Certainly, steering with a powered prop instead of a rudder is pretty foreign to us, especially in tight quarters. Compared to the other power boats we know, my wife does not feel in imminent danger of catastrophe and sudden death, even though we can go faster.
The best to you all. You seem like a lively forum, and I did enjoy recent posts on docking single handed. Not being able to go over the side any-old-where is certainly constraining.

Rod and Jane, welcome to the pub. I will look forward to possibly seeing you in our neck of the woods up here in the San Juans. Between the San Juans, the Southern Gulf Islands of Canada and north, you can't beat the number of places to explore.

As a recent new C-Dory owner and a fellow BC'er glad you made the "right" decision and welcome aboard.

We are in Victoria and look forward to the chance where our paths might cross.

We were in DeCourcy Island's Pirates Cove last weekend and saw what I'm sure were a couple of 21' Rangers in there rafted up and looking every bit salty. By the time we might of had a chance to confirm this sighting, they were gone.
