OK... we can not edit on the for sale gig...so... here are more comments
A complete, boat, motor & trailer 22 C-Dory for less than $25K....with the wood interior that you can work with... But, I have not really paid close attention to the interior of a new CD22 since they started screwing with all the fiberglass interior stuff.
Well...OK.. the banks might not lend this much money on a 1994 boat...but that is why we use home equity!!
I think you would be making a mistake without at least going to look at this boat. |

Opps... too much coffee this morning... I meant to say interior of a new CD22 Angler. I do not like chages made to the interior of the cruiser. |

The owner called this morning. We have an appointment for a sea trial on Tuesday.
The owner, Matt, was very up front about a couple of items needing attention. One engine can only be trimmed manually. Speedometer seems never to have been hooked up and gas gauges don't function.
The fuel tanks are such that they give visual evidence of your fuel level - so not a big problem.
I suspect my husband will appreciate input on the cost/complexity of setting the other two issues right. He's pretty handy and has read all sorts of technical articles on the site already.
Input welcome

We may kick ourselves for this decision, but we passed on this boat today. The boat is as described, handled well on the river, and is a great compromise between the cruiser and angler as it has a port side dinette for two, and teak storage cabinets in the cabin ( as opposed to the back to back seats on both sides pictured in some angler models).
After a long discussion over a late lunch, the decision was based on a frank discussion of time available to use it and maintenance of two boats (we already have a little whaler - primarily for the teenagers). The timing AND the boat have to be right ....... and we had our timing wrong.
Best wishes to Matt for a quick sale ...
And - what do you think the chances are that my husband used to dive for abilone from a commercial boat in California that was owned and crewed by Matt's Dad & Mom and family back in the '70's??? It's a small world!!!!

I will be surprised if this boat is not sold by the weekend. If it was closer, I would buy it for a fixer upper.
Somebody is going to get a good deal, if it is as presented here.
