Thanks Jeffrey, send me an Email w/ your cell#. We're about an hour away in Trenton.
BTW, I was so sorry to hear about Tucker. I know how hard that can be. I enjoyed your travel log very much and am sorry you discontinued it. I followed you on iBoat track and am amazed at the technology. You'll have to explain more when we get together.

Dun et al,
Looks like we'll be tied-up with our son & wife that weekend. We're not sure she can take the wave action. Sorry to hear about Rick, hope that will not interfere with the Rideau trip for them. We're socked in with fog for the past two days here on Frenchman Bay.

Hi George, Dun and all,
We've been in P-town for the last week, so I couldn't keep up with you guys. I plan on coming to Castine on the 15th. If my knee allows, I'll bring Hunky Dory.
Dun, your COASIS computer won't let my e-mail thru to you. It thinks I'm SPAM!

I made the map snippet above to help show people where things are in Castine in case you're not familiar. Don't park on the town dock - you'll get a ticket after 2-3 hours. Instead, park on the street. There is free parking available for trailers at the MMA parking lot on Stevens Street. _________________ Jeffrey Siegel

Hello, 10:30 Monday, July 9
We're camped in Old Quarry in Stonington. Wanderer is on her mooring.
One of the two valves on the inflatable leaks. As soon as we can repair on obtain a new one, we will go for a spin. We need to leave the dinghy on the mooring in order to get back ashore.
It looks like rain soon. If so, I'll be back on line this afternoon.

The rendezvous on the 15th presents a problem for Wanderer. We have to break camp and move the RV the morning of the 16th. We can’t do it earlier or later because other campers are involved. If we are in Castine by boat, we can’t count on getting back here in time for the move.
Therefore, we will have to come by RV on the 15th or move the date to the 17th or later.
In any event, would it not make more sense to meet at a restaurant? Two of you live there, Dun plans to launch a small boat and Rick may be coming by car.
Does any one plan to cruise with Wanderer afterwards?
There is no cell phone reception at the campsite. We can usually get reception if we walk down to the water’s edge. Unfortunately, with the exception of Dun, I don’t have the emails with your phone numbers on this laptop. If you will send them again, I will make an effort to phone for your input. Or, we can discuss the issue here.
The people who have expressed intent to attend are: Dun, Rick, Jeffrey and Tom and Leslie.

I think I've contacted everyone that has expressed interest in this little gathering. We've decided to meet at Dennetts Wharf Restaurant in Castine at noon on Sunday July 15th. Those of you that will be bringing your boats, if it's a nice day we can go sightseeing. If not, we'll just eat and drink and be merry. George and Penny will be in the area for the week folllowing, and would welcome company for day cruises around the Islands and Bays of Downeast Maine. It's been foggy for days so they haven't explored much yet.
Any other C-Brats or wannabes out there are certaintly welcome to join us.

Thanks for your efforts Dun, 7/12/07
We're looking forward to the "gathering".
Yesterday was foggy when we left for Mt. Desert with some places where it scaled up. The afternoon was sunny. We had lunch in Southwest Hbr and visited Northeast. On the way back, we rounded close to Bass Head light took some pictures and put into Bass Hbr for a look-see and to take on gas. The breeze filled in about the time we were outside Webb Cove where we have a mooring.
An all together a delightful day. I'll try to put up a few pictures if we have a stuck-inside-day.

Sure wish we could get up to our place East of Bar Harbor (Roque Bluffs near Machias) but I'm stuck down in VA waiting for a Boat House to get built here. We'll be heading up there after that!! _________________ CHARLIE and PENNY CBRAT #100

Charlie and others,
Shake yourself loose from all the heat and come on up. Penny and I spent another great day on the water. We threaded our way among the many small islands off Stonington and on over to Isle au Haut.
We have worn long pants and long sleeve shirts with sweaters at times. Blankets at night.
Tomorrow promises to be another good weather day. Time now to plan the trip to Vinalhaven and lunch in North Haven on Fox Islands Thorofare.

I hope everyone enjoyed the gathering in Castine yesterday as much as we did.
George and Penny: We plan to go up the Penobscot to Bangor on Tuesday and return home Wednesday. We'd be free to rendezvous with you Thursday or Friday if that works out for you.

Hi Tom & Leslie,
Yup, it was fun meeting all you C-Brats after "talking" to ya on the site. I had a great time. Hope your trip home wasn't too bumpy. There are a couple of C-Dories coming from Down East for the Rideau, so think about coming with us.
Sounds like you guys are going to have a great cruise up to Bangor, then other areas in Penobscot Bay. Wish I was doing it with ya, but my body won't let me play for a while.
After going up to Augusta, then cruising to Boston, I got this bug about cruising to as many State Capitols as possible. We did a C-Brat gathering in Providence, RI but didn't cruise there. We almost got to Hartford in June. I've cruised in Concord, NH by Kayak, does that count? And we've done Annapolis, MD. I haven't checked atlases to see how many capitols can be reached by C-Dory, but I'll bet it is surprising.
The Castine Lunch reminded me of the C-Dory Erie Canal cruise lunches, with 9 of us at the table laughing and enjoying our C-Dory lives.
