OH MY GOODNESS!!! I have been without an internet connection for a week, and I am near awestruck!! This has to be one of the most amazing places to cruise, and this isn't my first rodeo. Wink For those who haven't been here before, imagine the Grand Canyon, Zion, and Bryce Nationa Parks all rolled into one and being able to explore it on the water!!! "Lake" doesn't do this place justice - the navigating can be challenging, Mother Nature can toss some interesting cruising into the mix... it is simply spectacular! The Cathedral In The Desert has to be one of the most spiritual places nature has provided for us boating folks.

As some of you know, we had only been here one day last fall when we had to leave to attend to a family situation. We knew we'd come back, but didn't think it would be this soon. It probably wouldn't have happened at this time had it not been for our dear friends Brent and Dixie... we would chase them down to the ends of the earth (mostly because we love 'em so much, but also because Dixie provides such great material for these posts Mr. Green ). Everyone in the group worked together to make it a truly memorable cruise... our special thanks to Chris for heading it up.

Ten days here only scratches the surface. With over 2000 miles of shoreline and countless coves, canyons, nooks and crannies to explore, we will certainly be back.

We are back on land now, parked in Brent and Dixie's driveway. Lots to get done before we head to California and the next adventure. If anyone is interested, I can post a daily log type of thing with some photos. While it is certainly more fun to post daily as it's happening, I would enjoy re-living these past 10 days again.

For those of you who haven't been to Lake Powell, it is truly a jewell of a cruising place, especially for boats like ours. We have traveled all around this area by land over the years, but that doesn't begin to do it justice... this place was made for C-Dorying. The only thing that could make it better is the opportunity to share it with our C-Dory friends.

Best wishes,
Jim B.

PS - Over 500 new posts, thousands of images for me to sort through, video clips... and laundry, cleaning, re-provisiong, and cat-walking to get done before we head out again in two days. Whew! I love it! Very Happy

Jim/Joan/Dixie/Brent, don't forget to take a picture or two of your boats together or near each other in the driveway! Would love to read more about your itinerary and events of the trip.

Jim,
From someone who knows how it realy works, just stay out of Joans way and work on the pictures and log entrys and you won't get yelled at for being in the way.

Looking foward to hearing all the gory details and seeing the pictures of your trip.

Jim – forget the cat walking, forget the laundry, forget the re-provisiong, forget the cleaning, just don't forget to do your daily logs of Lake Powell with photos and post them on Wild Blues adventures.

As a Lake Powell wrap-up, I have posted a sub-album of Lake Powell images at

http://www.c-brats.com/modules.php?set_albumName=album393&op=modload&name=gallery&file=index&include=view_album.php

"The rest of the story" is on The Cruising Adventures of Wild Blue and Crew, pages 11 and 12.

My thanks to all who participated and those who have done so in the past and related the tales - it is, indeed, a very special place.

Best wishes,
Jim B.
