forgot to ask if any dimensions where available on the generator support platform.
in my case, my boat is 150 miles from my location and with the measurements, could build the platform here and transport to boat and install later.
thanks
pat

I expect to be back to the boat late today or tomorrow. I'll get the measurements and post them here.

Doing a search on the Rubbermaid Action Packer, there are three sizes. From the looks of it, I assume this is the smallest, a 24 gallon? Looks to be a good solution for what to do with the generator. We have our camperback on most of the time, so the gen is out of the weather, and put it in the cabin when we are away from the boat for any length of time. Target has the 24 gallon Action Packer for $19.99.

Best wishes,
Jim B.

Joe,
Yes - it seems like an elegant solution. I wish I could take all the credit, but as mentioned above, I inherited it. When I saw this thread I felt I ought to share it with all the members. I'll post the measurements tomorrow.

Here are the dimensions for the generator platform on Lucky Day

[/img]http://www.c-brats.com/modules.php?set_albumName=Lucky-Day&id=Dimensions_from_side&op=modload&name=gallery&file=index&include=view_photo.php[/img]

The platform is 12 1/4" wide. If viewed from above, the starboard side has an angle cut at the forward end to accommodate the angled seat in the stern.

The material used to cover the chain and to pad the ends appears to be a soft plastic tubing with a wall thickness of about 1/8". The edges of the platform are covered with a sheet metal or aluminum cap.

Ooops -- My attempt to load the photo directly into the post didn't work. (There must be some HTML code missing.) The photo with dimensions is in the album.
