Sea Skipper – it looks good. I like the idea of a higher splash well.

Why the second kicker on the port side of the boat?.

Even the big sports fishermen models are concerned about possibly getting pooped - especially when backing down on a line. I noticed that some of the new deep sea fishing boats have transom doors with a horizontal flap that hinges one way to let cockpit water out, but not let sea water in.

I love it. I have always hated the open back of the 22's and even more the 25's. in a few years we will move up to a 25 and must have one of these built. Now you have room to mount a bbq or a fish cleaning/ bait prep table. If you have not sent pic to the factory you should. I spent a good portion of the boat show talking with jeff and others about this problem, yes i consider it a problem, and he kept telling me that there was no way short of new molds to do it. Again it looks great.

Hank-

Excellent design and execuion!

If the factory doesn't want to cahnge the design to accomodate such an improvement or offer it as an option, this could easily become an aftermarket kit available from a small manufacurer like a marine oriented machine shop with sheet metal equipment, or farmed out between several small shops.

I'm not going to do it myself, but I believe the numbers are great enough that a small aftermarket manufacturer could supply a variety of kits for different adaptations for the boats, like this and the no longer produced floorboards for the 22.

Joe.

Sea Skipper, I just looked through your album and you have made some very nice modifications to your boat. It looks like you have a very fine vessel.
