I want to start by thanking the administrators and the members of the C-Brats for allowing C-Ranger to continue to participate on this site. As both a consumer and a marketing minded person, I understand the value of having the kind of information that is available on the C-Brats website. I do not know of another owners group site that shares the kind of passion that our owners share for their boats. On a personal note I am very excited to continue to communicate with both C-Dory and C-Ranger owners. I have become friends with many of you over the last few years and look forward to the next c-brat gathering. I will continue to participate on this site and will strive to keep the flow of information coming from the Ranger factory.

Here are a few facts about us.

Ranger Tugs has been in business since 1958.
John and Dave Livingston purchased the business in 1999.
Dave Livingston originally designed the Livingston dinghy in 1965.
More boats have been built that Dave Livingston designed than any other designer in the world.
Ranger R25 was designed and built from the ground up by the Livingston family.
There are 33 employees at Ranger Tugs.
We build 11 boats per month.
we have an open shop policy, stop by and say Hi!

Glad to see you made it and are still kicking after the boat show season....and there are still a few left.

Sorry you again did not get to drop buy during your travels. One day, we will make that happen...

Please pass on to Mr. Dave Livingston that I truly missed seeing him at both the Seattle and Miami show this season. What a great time we had the 1st year the 1/2 Tug was in Seattle and we just sat on a gunnel and talked boats. That was way better than seeing Al Gore get an Oscar.

It's good to hear from you and, of course, you are always welcome here!

In even the few times that you met with Marcia and me, we could tell that you truly cared about your customers and we appreciated having that friendly, if busy, guy at the factory upon whom we could depend.

Hey Ranger Jeff....good to "hear" your voice!

As a point of interest......if I'm not mistaken the Livingston Dinghys have been a common fixture on the ferry boats of the Washington State Ferry Fleet for many years...........Is that correct?

Welcome, Jeff! I still have, deep down in the recesses of the back corner of my mind, this notion that one day, you will put Pat and Patty into a Ranger tug - whether an R25 or something larger (when we cash in the house in Fall City!). Will no doubt be regretting we let that 2005 SBS deal go!

Dusty, good to hear from you. Dave is sitting here at the drawing table and i passed along your greeting. He says hello.

Dave S. You are correct. For many years the Livingston dinghy was used on all of the Wa State ferries as the life boat. Well made and super stable.

Jeff, Good to hear from you. Happy that you will remain a part of this wonderful group of boating nuts. I am going to take you up on the Open Shop and drive on up to the factory one day soon and check things out. You don't mind if I stop at the fly shop first do you, Ranger? Wink
