Sad It's very difficult for us to get away in April or early May--we definitely plan on Lake Powell in September. We are interested in going to Lake Roosevelt sometime during the end of May or early June--anyone interested? Very Happy

If you can make it, we'll meet you on the ramp at Wahweap, and looking forward to seeing you two good folks.

Hey, Pat & Patti and All,

So sorry that I can't make the April Powell trip. I was really looking forward to meeting you folks.

You're gonna love it. May be a long drive, but there is nothing else that looks quite like it. It'll certainly be a change from what you're accustomed to. Make sure your camera battery is up!

And whatever pictures you take, make sure you ask Bill (of El & Bill fame), what you may be looking at, because he can sure tell you!

Have great fun!

Ken

Just found out we can't make the Lake Powell cruise in April. Crying or Very sad Rick has decided to cruise from Seattle to Juneau April 14-28. Maybe we will be able to make it in September.

More please, tell me more! A trip to Juneau in 14 days. Are you trailering it home, or spending the summer.
Going alone or with anouther boat? Sounds like an adventure of a life time.

Actually, Rick was invited to go on a new 37' Nordic Tug that needs to be delivered up in Juneau along with some other people on a new 42' Nordic Tug. Of course, he couldn't resist. I, however, decided I'm not too sure of my first trip to Alaska being with a bunch of strangers and in April when it may not be that condusive to smooth cruising (I still get a little queazy in rough water). I'm really disappointed that I can't join you folks at Powell, but hopefully will be able to do it another time.

Pat and Rick --
Wow, sure can understand the temptation -- those Nordics are about the only other boat that El and I thought we could live on. Should be a great trip. How about you coming down to Powell, Pat, and hanging out with the gang? We will have our camper there, and it can make a home for you -- and you can get out on the day cruises with the group.
Speaking of temptation ...

The Lake Powell Gathering is about a month away. If anyone has any questions about the (arguably) most beautiful lake in the SW (if not the US) drop a line. We're back on line again after some extended trips and would sure encourage folks to think about coming over to Powell for a few days of canyon cruising.
Looking forward to seeing Daydream on the lake, just after the Gathering, and we plan to meet you at the ramp and cruise the lake with you guys after the Gathering as long as you wish.

Change of plans while you were away - unfortunately, we will not be making the trip. Just the reality of the 2.5 long days of driving each way...one of these days, though!

Looks like three boats for Lake Powell -- Naknek, Rana Verde, and Halcyon. We'll let you all know how the desert lake looks this year.
