Bob,

Congratulations on your dandy little tug! It should turn some heads. There is an article on 3 tugs and 3 skippers taking the smaller cabin versions up the inside passage. Now they got some attention!

Here is as close as I can get to the link:

http://www.c-ranger.com/

Go to the bottom of the page and click articles and download the pdf.

It's a good story.

Enjoy,

Don

Don
I never had read the article before and enjoyed it after reading it just
now. Was easy to find and had great pictures.
I got the boat home and in put it in the shed yesterday. Decided to
try out my front mounted trailer hitch and forgot about providing power
for the disc brakes but got the job done and well it does stick out of
the shed a few feet. Thats what blue tarps are for.
Today its a trip to Fife to get some filters and advise for the first
engine service. Still a bit on the cool side here in the foothills of
Washington for boating as after washing the boat yesterday I could
not open the motor hatch as it was froze down. Seems a better time
to get things ready for that future trip.

That was a great article. When you really love boats like most of us on here do, seeing those boats on a trip like that really makes you ask yourself how much boat, and how much complexity, does it take to get pure joy out of boating. Very Happy

While cruising the Broughton Islands last September we met the same trio. One of their group had just returned from cruising the Queen Charlottes. I wish I had taken the time to get more of their story-especially about the Queen Charlotte Islands. That would be a very interesting cruising area-even more remote than most of SE Alaska.
