Just a wondering, who has been driving their C-D the longest...I'll wager Catman who is probably closing in on 20 years.
We have five years on ours and get the urge to trade, on occasion, but always take a quick nap and the urge passes _________________ Ken

well, that would help to make it a memorable day
It was Jan 02 for us, I'd been plying M with El & Bill pics for months before we went to the Portland Boat show. A little gentle salesmanship followed by a trip to look at consignment boat at Sportcraft and we was a trailering home a new memory machine.
Cool tool, the poll |

Bill, for those of us that have owned more than one C-Dory are we screwed on this poll for years of owning a C-Dory versus just the current one? Which C-Dory are you going to choose?... "DaNag" or "PeeWee"? Poor Byrdman is on his third C-Dory. (Yeah, I know.....complain, complain, complain.... ) _________________ Dave S.

Yeah, you're screwed. But at least you're in good company - welcome to the club.
I chose my longest owned current boat - Da Nag 22. I kinda stole B~C's thunder by adding the poll, but my curiosity is in how long folks hang on to a boat - not how long they've been C-Dory customers.
We can do that poll next. |

And how many C-Dorys do you think Da Nag has had? Let me see---- started with a 19, then moved up to a 22, then got the Pee Wee just for the heck of it---- makes 3.
Course, if ya want to count---- hmmmmm, how many has Dusty had? or can we count that high? |

Pat and I have each had two. First the 22 and then the 25. Of course now he also has a 16. And I am looking for a 16. We'll have to wait on the 28 and see. _________________ David and Kate

I bought my "87 CD-22 Cruiser in April of '98, but had been lusting after such a sweet comfort-giving water woman in my heart ever since the early "90's. Joe. _________________ Sea Wolf, C-Brat #31

hell, the only thunder I have is bean related. I was thinking along the lines of folks that hang on to their boat like a pair of old comfortable shoes. |

So the poll is already skewed. The question should be: How many years of C-Dory ownership (covers all boats). I bet that would change things quite a bit in percentages. _________________ >Film: C-Dory Buyers Guide< |

The curiosity lies in how long a person has hung on to the same old boat. I've always had a certain kind of awe and respect for folks that hang on to rigs, cuz, I always got that trading itch. Fer example, I had a friend way back in High School that saved up his money and bought a 72 Chev 4x4 truck that was a few years old. He still has the truck and it still looks like new, it amazes me.
Jack- amazing, that is one nice looking boat, do you tow it with a 72 chev? |

First saw our '00 CD16 Angler on 2Nov06 here in the Twin Ports, started wheelin'/dealin', and finally took ownership day after Thanksgiving, 24Nov06. Something nice to be thankful for . . . . like Joe, had been lusting for a C-Dory for 8-9 years b4 I finally was able to get the money from Treasury Dept (Gin). Oh ya, like Ken of B~C I'll always yearn for another C-Dory, a 22, 25, TC255, or C-Ranger 25 - but I'm afraid that'll be my next life!! Heck, I haven't even had Foxy Lady (new name for our CD16) in the water yet. _________________ Boatless Al |
