Bill --
Thanks, I got a note from Barnett that the tabs are held on by wood screws -- surprised me. I've also determined that the Barnette actuator hits the hull about 9" up from the bottom of the transom which means the swim step will probably have to be slightly notched at the bottom. The Lenco and others all seem to need 11" or more up from the bottom of the hull.
Hydralics seem needlessly complicated over electrical versions, especially in fresh water.
I'll have to do some more measuring when it's light out tomorrow.
