Our 22 had foam flotation under the V bunks. I am not sure if all of the boats do--but in the TC 255 there is a huge amount of storage under the bunk.

When talking to the Factory about a situation I had on Plan-B, they told me they had to install the foam flotation under the V-berth but I could remove if I had too for my problem.

I needed more storage, so I moved the porta pot and enclosed the area where it once sat..... I just used a piece of starboard and it works just fine.... I keep tools and stuff I rarely need under there...eatra anchor etc.
I moved the pot back and put a small lip at the edge of that space so it still sits under the bed....but just does not push all the way back....
I also filled in the bed cutout with a piece of starboard so it is straight across....makes the bed much more friendly for 2 ... Sue made a small pad to fill in that space......

I kinda like the idea of floatation under the bed area....During the summers I work as a commercial diver and retrieve boat that don't have enough floation.. ...I would never remove any, maybe add some extra...but remove never...

Hi Folks,

When the 22' C-dory swamps, the space under the forward bunks will keep the boat floating bow up. You can cut into it and make storage but my suggestion would have the hatch waterproof. I would also put foam in other parts of the boat, like under the cockpit sides, out of the way, but effective.

WHEN!! the C-Dory Swamps Shocked Shocked Don't you mean when the C-Dory is pulled down by Neptune himself he is forced to release it because of all that flotation under the vee berth??

For shame Shocked
