First message posted from my brand today new MacBook - the 2 Ghz 13" jobbie...needed a new laptop, just tired of Widoze, with its constant degrading of performance over time, disk chugging & whirring, hour glass, constant error messages, daily security updates, freeze ups, and everything else that Microsoft blames on us as users... we shall see how it goes! _________________

Welcome to the fold Pat. If you have any issues/need any help give me a ring/PM. However, you're likely to find that your computer life is more "issue" free than before. _________________ Roger on Meant to be |

Exactly, it just works. The only thing that might trip you up is it is so simple to do things, it's hard to get used to . . . _________________ >Film: C-Dory Buyers Guide< |

So far so good...my son Barrett is my Mac guru, but he just got on the plane back to SF. I am going to immerse myself in Mac for the next month or three, not use the PC at all, not "translate," just assimilate the Mac way to the maximum extent possible. Appreciate the offers, expect a PM from time to time. |

I considered using a Mac and even used one for a while. To me it was not intuitive and vary hard to configure it to my satisfaction. It didn’t have the options that a PC has in its configuration and I was unable to find some software we needed to run on the Mac.
I do agree that for people that just want to use a computer and not know of, or be aware of what is going on, or how to stop services that are started by software that comes preinstalled on the PC, the Mac is the way to go.
This is a first for me also, it is my first post with my Dell AXIM pocket PC. I often times am working on a computer or installing software that takes time and I will sit there with nothing to do until a process finishes. Now I carry my Pocket PC and can catch up with the post on this site. However, it is slow typing with a stylist so I don’t know if I will do much posting with it.
