At about a quarter to seven this evening, Bill said he was on his way out the door to go fetch Da Nag. He also said he had been on his way out the door for four hours. After giving him a couple more hours, I figure he is on the road and heading north. It'll be a couple days before he is back on the computer, so now's a good time to talk about him.
He's got some other things to do before picking the boat up, so you still have a little breathing room, Les.
I'm hoping he has a good drive and the trailer doesn't bounce too much for his little Ford to handle. _________________ TyBoo Mike

Hey Hey, Easy on that talk about the little Ford things. A bunch of us still are pulling our little boats with them. They match up pretty good too. _________________ Tim and Judy w/o the Lynn Marie |

I am referring only to Bill's puny Ford. He knows why. |

We'll take good care of Bill when he gets up here & he can park his Ford right next to mine. _________________ We are land lubbers now enjoying NC.

Damn, I wish I were there to be of help, but alas I am stuck on Maui.
Know what would be really cool? If money were no object (which it is) ship the boat over to Hawaii and spend a month just cruising the islands. Then ship her back.
Or. How big would the towed fuel bladder have to be to motor over here. _________________ David and Kate

Our hearts bleed for you...hey, I have an idea! Maybe you could stay here next time instead of going to Maui! Anna Leigh wrote: | Damn, I wish I were there to be of help, but alas I am stuck on Maui. |
Actually I could do that...if money were no object...which it is...

Well...finally got to a PC. Had to pay extra, too - staying at some fancy shmancy Holiday Inn Express with T1 access. My usual M.O. is to bum a bed from a fellow C-Brat, or if none are nearby, stay at the closest Motel 6. Yeah, I'm cheap...
Speaking of staying with fellow C-Brats...a big thanks to Wade and Lois. Not only were the accomodations and company outstanding, Lois is one heck of a cook. Fed me crab quiche for dinner, and bacon and eggs before my exit to EQ this morning. As usual, I tried to offer up the reciprocal "anytime you're in CA, please stay with us" offer, but I got the typical Pacific Northwesterner response - "why would we want to go to California?"
On to EQ...Da New Da Nag, she's looking good, and I think Les has come up with some 22 canvas work that may have raised the bar a bit. For those of you who don't know, Les is an ex-canvas guy, and had a new (to him) local outfit do the work instead of King Marine, with a number of minor changes made to his specs. Kinda hard to describe them all here without pictures, I'll write it up when I get back home.
Man...leave you guys alone for two days, and you rack up 78 messages. Don't you all have anything better to do?
Yeah, me neither... _________________ Will, C-Brat Nerd |
