Jim-
We will be having dinner Friday night, the 20th, at one of the casino buffets in Laughlin. We will be docking the boats at Katherines Landing.
Of course you are welcome-- we may forgive you not bringing the boat, but will your boat forgive you?

Jim --
If you wish, bring along some pictures of your Alaska cruise from last summer. I'm sure we'd all enjoy 'sharing' that adventure with you. We missed each other up there last summer, but hope to meet on Mojave. _________________ El and Bill (former live-aboards)

El and Bill
I have posted a few photos of our Alaska trip.
If you would like to see a VCR tape of the trip we will have it with us.
As of now it looks like we just might make Lake Mohave in time for dinner.
see everyone then

We were out knocking rocks for the day, in the mountains west of Lake Mojave, and went to the shore for a picnic. 76 degrees, calm wind, and not a cloud in the sky. Couldn't ask for better boating weather. We plan to launch on Thursday and be out for a week and a half. Anyone want to come on over early and kick back? |

I doubt that my California license is much good on Lake Mohave...but should I buy a Nevada or Arizona week license?
Or is it worth buying a license at all ??? and spend the week looking at rocks...etc.
I think I will take the inflatable so the dog and I can poke around the shoreline.

Be sure to bring a bathing suit -- there are some good hot springs in the upper part of the canyon. And -- Joel -- the rocks are great! (of course, we're a little biased). |

Temperature may reach 70 at the Gathering -- according to local tv. Delightful here now.
Boats with more than 65hp not allowed above Willow Beach at the far north of the lake, but if you have two outboards, raise one and as long as there is less than 65 hp in the water, it's ok. Another argument for having tow engines?? Hmmm.
Water crystal clear, and water level is good since Davis Dam is a run-of-the-river dam and not (much) used for flood control. |

7 boats in attendance at Lake Mohave. Once again, we were glad to have Bill & El with us as we cruised the lake. I just love to hear about the Geography of the area- and Bill was kind enough to give us a running commentary as we traveled up-river.
The weather was cool, wet and windy- you woulda thought we were in the great NorthWest.
Roy (Water Lillie) supplied the Rib Eye for the BBQ at Cottonwood Cove-- Thank you Roy!!
We stopped by and picked up Sue (SEA3PO) and took her to the lake with us, so Joel could have his "Honey" with him on the lake. |
