Wallas Fix #2, and things I learned about Wallas

Very interesting to see the topic of "Wallas Fix", because I had just the same problem and fix this last week. It had been confused by the fact that I had run out of fuel and thought my failure to restart when refueled was due to something else.

I am not far from ScanMarine, and I took it to Carl to test. He was extremely helpful, and declared it working entirely properly. Back in the boat it did not work

Things I learned at ScanMarine: 1. you must have the tube from tank to pump VERY tightly wrenched onto the pump. 2. diesel is the best fuel to burn. 3. the fuse....

Carl told me that at the power input you should show over 11 volts when under a load (= stove on). I wasn't getting that, so I went back towards the battery. He said to check the connections, but they looked good. I finally thought to check the fuse (I hadn't before because I got 12 volts at the stove when no load was on.). Like the story on "Wallas Fix", the pathetic fuse holder was full of water. New fuse and dry connection, and the stove worked perfectly. I think C-Dory needs to know that this fuse holder causes more trouble than it prevents.

Hope this is helpful to others. I want to emphasize how helpful and patient Carl was.
