I made fun of some old Codger in DE that was so proud of how clean he kept his fenders. I said something smart Alec like "they're just fenders, made to bang into things, I'd rather spend the same amount of time boating that he spent washing his fenders. We continued to joke around and I left him there on the dock.

Ha! Man was I out of line.

Now, after only four trips (five with Hontoon included) I have fender marks, from oxidized and filthy fenders, all over the place. Especially around the areas where the fenders are stored or hang when in use.

It is something I could live with but I'd rather not and so how do you remove those rub marks and what is the most efficient and permanent way to clean fenders. And do you recommend waxing Fenders?

As I am a farm kid at heart when I see a Zerk I pump grease into it. The last time I greased the motors I did so from behind and did not wipe up right away as I really couldn't see what I was greasing not the mess I made. As a result I left some spills in the engine well. Grease tracks. It got around a bit. I cleaned it up nicely but it took a lot of elbow grease to do so. What do you use to wipe up grease?

The best product I've come across for removing fender dirt, grime, and anything a dock can throw at it is Starbrite RIB and INFLATABLE cleaner and UV protectant. Spray it on, let it sit for 30 seconds or so and wipe it off. It works amazingly well. Good luck
