Maybe I could do such a thing.
Perhaps we could trade more information about expectations, voyage plans,
partnership agreement, boat experience levels, boating education, etc. ?
How would you go about establishing a partnership with a virtual stranger?

And, Lake Michigan, albeit fresh water, can be treacherous in a blow.
