I have a pair of Honda 90's that were pulled for a repower. Both motors run well.
No associated controls. Motors are currently in Honda crates.
Message me for more info or to get my # and talk about them.
Also interested in a boat to put them on in case you know of one....
Thanks!

Howdy,
I wanted to add a bit more info, first, I'm asking $6K for the pair.

These motors were pulled off of a local naturalist orginazation boat due to water getting into the area around the flywheel. This is a known issue with these motors and is fixable and can be worked around as well.

Both motors have had regular service by the local dealer. I am working on getting as much of that info compiled as possible.

The boat ran just fine prior to removal of the motors about 2 months ago. I had a cat hulled project in mind when i bought these, but the deal did not go through.

I think these would be a great upgrade for anyone running carbed motors, or looking to conver a single motor setup to twins.

Hope this helps!

Good Morning!

I was able to get service records and find I was given some bad info. It seems one motor has oil, not water getting into the bell housing area. This too is not all together uncommon. We have another BF90 that has been doing this for 4 years. I would call this more of seepage than a failed seal, but i suppose if it leaks, it has failed at some level.

Per the 2023 service:

COMPLETE ANNUAL SERVICE, FOR BOTH MOTORS, INCLUDING VALVES.
SERVICE AL OILS, FILTERS, LUBE, PLUGS, BOTH TSTAT, ANODE.
PERFORM VALVE CLEARANCE ADJUSTMENT SERVICE, TO BOTH ENGINES.
SPRAY DOWN PWRHD W/CORROSION GUARD, LUBE FRAME, CABLES, LINKAGES.
START UP AND RUN EACH MOTOR, CHECK AL SYSTEMS-SHIFT, IDLE, TEMP, WTR FLOW.
PULL GEARCASE ON PORT ENGINE, TO SERVICE WTR PUMP IMPELLER~ADVISE OPERATOR OF OIL LEAK.
TEAR DOWN BOTH, FOR FURTHER INSPECTION; ADVISE,

MAYBE LOWER CRANKSHAFT SEAL FAILED. OPERATOR
STOP WORK. PICK UPBOAT AS IS, NO FURTHER WORK
