1998 Honda BF90A alternator output

What is the alternator output for a 1998 BF90A? This is the carbureted BBBL series. The more I search, the more answers I find--so far everything from 16-44 amps! Thanks for the help!

The 1998 BF90A carburetor outboard has an "alternator" output of 16 or 17 amps. That was not changed until November 2006, when it was increased to 35 amps. Later it was bumped up to 44 amps.
