The old saying about the two best days in a boater's life is pretty much false for the second part. That isn't my truck and it isn't me driving.

Congratulations Da Nag Will! I know you'll treat her good.

She has seen a lot of fish and crab in her day. Glad that she is going to a good home to continue her legacy.

As Mel Allen would say, "How about that!"

Must have been tough seeing her go, even with Will. It won’t be a good day for us, if or when, we see our HunkyDory being towed away.

Congratulations to both TyBoo and Da Nag--both are winners. Plus both of them recognize what a jewel the original C Dory 25 "Cruise Ships" are. My son owns one, and I also see the real value of them.

Larger dinette, much larger head. Plenty of head room, and elbow room. Smaller galley area--great storage under the dinette seating and floor.

Tough boats.

Some of us who have made that move understand, Mike. In a way, the boat is still “in the family” now that it is with Will. When we sold Wild Blue, it went to a long-time sailing friend of mine… nice to know that it is going to someone who will give it good care.

Best wishes,
Jim

So, the "secret" is out. Couldn't be happier - thanks again, good buddy. I know it's a bittersweet development for you but trust the ol' gal is in good hands.

Over the last couple of years, Mike's made comments to me several times about selling. I of course, did my my best to dissuade him. It was my C-Brat duty to point out he was nuts for even considering it.

This year, he seemed pretty determined - and I suppose I got weak. Given I was boatless and no longer wished to be, perhaps I was slightly less pushy about him keeping TyBoo another year.

As Dr. Bob mentioned, the 25 Cruise Ship is a very special boat, and the provenance of this one makes it sweeter still. It has all the unique and special touches from our favorite millright, and while I've a few updates in mind - I feel right at home in it as-is. So stoked.

First orders of business - bottom paint and a name. One of those is easier than the other.

What a surprise development this is. I'm just giddy that Will has a boat again and we'll see you islanding out and about. And in a darn special boat, for sure.
But I never imagined it would be the Tyboo, or that Mike would actually sell this year.
I'm really happy for both of you, and delighted the transfer shifted from one administrator to another.

It's good seeing TyBoo's boat again. Here's one of our favorite memories. Many years ago at one of the early Bellingham C-Brat gatherings Mike had three kids with him. After breakfast there were three or four muffins left over. They vanished in that boat. We are happy to see that Will and Dana are the new owners.

Well, if Mike and Will are both happy, I am happy for them. But having seen all Mike's amazing crab hauls, I have to wonder...

Just saw this post, I feel like I've taken a wave of sorts, and repeating to myself what Thataway said is well said.

Best,
Tom and Rene
