I'd prefer one of 2012 or newer.
Only 150hp or larger.
Thanks

You might consider a CD25 or Venture 26 hull of ANY vintage that passes a moisture test (and is not a complete beater) with an engine with high hours or a blown engine, and then re-power with a new Suzuki from Sportcraft in Portland, OR. Absolutely the best prices, and no sales tax. A fair number of C-Brats (us included) have chosen to re-power at Sportcraft. It is worth the drive across the country. And say hello to Jonathon Arthur in Melbourne Beach for us!

Thanks for the tip. However, there are many things that get old over time, not just hours on an engine. Things corrode, pumps fail, hoses get old, thru hulls get old, fridges age, and much more. I've owned boats for 35 years, from a simple potter P15 to 40ft Lagoon 400. I just don't want an older boat.

Yes….everything does get older in time. However I’ve seen some C-Dorys that are continually upgraded and better than new. On the loop trip that I’m on we have seen brand new boats with lots of problems and older boats with only a few minor issues to be dealt with. But to each their oun. Not too many 2012 or newer C-Dory’s built. I wish you good luck in your search. There is or was one for sale in Minnesota.

I watched a YouTube video of some guy with a fairly large and expensive boat. It was going on two years of trying to get the factory to fix issues with the boat. And it wasn't small stuff. There were issues like water coming through the overhead into the salon when it rained.

New is not always better.

serpa4, just a little heads up on trying to find a 2012 or newer 25/26'er. When I finally decided that I was going to buy a 25' cruiser it took me an entire year of nearly daily searching every city on the East and West coasts on Craigslist, Yachtworld, boat trader, Cbrats, you name it. In that time frame I did miss out on a couple of boats as once they appear it us usually only a day or so that someone has them tied up with a deposit. I'll go further to say that the amount of boats that are year 2012 or newer that come up for sale are few and far between. The boat I bought was a 2007 fresh water, under cover and elevated on a lift for storage. It was a beautiful boat but not without problems. I had to do a little fuel system work to get it going but well worth the effort.
I wish you luck finding what you are after but would suggest that you take a look at what is available. You may be pleasantly surprised. Good luck in your search.

Just wondering how many 25/26 have been built in the last 10 years.
Not many would be my guess,

The above link is for a 2016 25 C-Dory Cruiser listed for sale on C-Brats and named Ripple. It is owned by Jeff and Diane who are registered on this site. Ironically, my wife and I were on this boat when it was offered for sale as new at Sportcraft Marina in Portland, Or. The boat is equipped with a Honda 200, much electronics along with AIS transponder and Autopilot. It has a professionally installed dinghy davit among many other additions. We saw this boat again at the 2022 C-Brats Friday Harbor get-together and the boat still looked new! Thumbs Up

Yes, ripple is very sweet! I'd buy it, but it has a Honda 200 V6. I have two Honda V6 on my current boat. It's a personal thing, but I will never, every buy another V6 Honda. If it was a 200 4cyl Honda, or any other brand I'd be fine. It is 100 deal breaker for me.
If I have to wait a year, I'll wait a year.

Just curious why you don't like the Honda V6?

2004 25 for sale in GA. $55K. Saw it on the FB C-Dory Group.

Not my boat.

Congratulations. Your patience, persistence, and determination paid off for what you originally where looking for to find a newer boat. Did someone on C-Brats help you with your find or is this something you came across on your own?
