Hello all, new owner over here in New England.
I want to add an extra pedestal seat on the port side of my boat ( for my wife). Previous owner just had open space for fishing cooler. I will be using it more to cruise.
I want to know what is the best way to attach a new seat to the sole. Is there wood underneath the fiberglass? I’m sure construction has changed a bit over the years on different boats. Floor appears solid from top.
I am still learning this site so if anyone can guide me to the proper topic, I would appreciate it.
I plan to make day trips around LI Sound from Madison and Guilford CT.

Hi Brad- There must be holes in the portside deck where the original pedestal was. You can remove one of the screws from the helm pedestal to get the proper size. Welcome to the C-Brats. You have a great little boat there. _________________ MartyP

Thanks Marty,
I’m away from the boat right now but will check. Good idea about taking out one screw on the starboard side. The previous owner said it was a Todd seat which looks like I can get easily.

Hello,
Thanks for the suggestion. I see a very faint outline on the floor of the old seat position on the port side. The previous holes have been well filled or covered. I am thinking about what kind of seats I want- possibly a seat with a back to back passenger seat- keep hearing about moving the weight forward. Good Winter project to imagine the perfect seating for my Angler which will be used more for day cruising.
We have had some unseasonably warm days here in NE but I know it’s getting time to put the boat to bed. At least I got one ride in and was very pleased. Even my wife liked the boat which is huge!
