Any advice on what to replace my lazarette covers with? Mine leak and need attention.

That is probably going to be a difficult chore--since your hatch is not similar to the vast majority of hatches which have been replaced.

hopefully you will find a candidate on the Imtra web site.

You may even have to build a new fiberglass fill around an edge or two to get a size which will work.

Bob is right. You are going to want anything that gets above that depressed opening, so water sheds off the top of the laz and not drains down into it.

Check out pages 3&4 on Snoopy-C photo album. Had same exact covers, and this shows the steps I took to complete lazarette replacement. Came out well. http://www.c-brats.com/modules.php?set_albumName=Snoopy-C&id=IMG_0038&op=modload&name=gallery&file=index&include=view_photo.php

Very nice job! It appears as if you were able to use the Imtra hatch:

Thanks. It came out well, and the hatch has a seal on the underside of the frame, so it was unnecessary to put a raised lip on the mounting surface. The original lazarette seemed to be an afterthought of that year design, and was poorly thoughtout.

I see this was done on "C Major". What year was she built? My 1993. C Dory 22 had the leaking stock hatches.

Wow, this is what I need to do! What size hatch did you use?

C-Miner (renamed) is a 1988 cruiser. I do not remember the hatch size - it was a long time ago. I just measured the existing opening and got the hatches that had “close” dimensions. Had to cut an in insert and glass it in anyway, so it can be sized accordingly. The duraglass was purchased at an autobody / paint supply store. It has glass filaments in fiberglass filler to provide strength. Once completed, it never exhibited cracking, etc while I owned it. My current 1993 Angler has raised ridge around the opening and the cover, although not gasketed, has a dipping out perimeter that stops water intrusion.
