We have now had our new to us Toland/C-Dory for a few months and have enjoyed spending some time aboard. We had to take her in for some work on the transom and thought while work is being done lets do the majority so she is ready for spring. We all know that the boat list is never done. The major project to take care of was moisture in the transom. On investigation, the balsa core was pretty well gone. We had that repaired and at the same time had both engines serviced and a new prop on the Honda 75. The old one had a slightly bent blade, we will keep the old one for the spare. The boat never had a name, so it is now named Sea Pony and the sign shop drew up a seahorse that has horse features, we really like it, so that emblem is going next to the name. We are having camper canvas made and put on. We also had an anchor rode mounted to a scotty downrigger and this will allow us to pull crab pots using that as a roller. We hope this ends up working well. We already added new batteries before the boat left. There are a couple areas of wiring that we are having cleaned up. An open buss bar above the helm did not seem to good, so adding another circuit breaker panel up there for the radio and for a light we added there as well. Since we are planning on year round boating, we are adding a window defroster also. This will also power our charging station for electronic devices. We also had her buffed out and now hopefully I can keep up with the waxing and keeping her looking shiny. We should be all ready for spring and summer trips!
Hope everyone is well.
Rob

Rob,
Thank you for posting the information, on the progress of Sea Pony. Now we all want to see photos, so please post them, when you have an opportunity. Lastly, I am interested to see what your solution was for the defroster. _________________ Steve Baum
