I have a ProMariner "ProTournament 360 Elite Dual" model #52032 charger (36 amps with 2 outputs). It works great and I am very happy with it, EXCEPT......

Starting in the 3rd year or so that I've had it, the charger stops charging a couple of times a year for no apparent reason. Typically, the boat is in its carport style "boat house" plugged into a 120v outlet via the shore power connector. The charger is enabled and does its thing which includes a "maintain" mode once the battery bank is fully charged. In this maintain mode, the charger periodically charges for a bit and tops off the batteries at about 14.5v (AGM batteries); but occasionally I find that the charger stops doing this. Indeed, it's worse because from that point on the charger never charges again even if the batteries drain to below 50% SOC. In this "stuck" condition, the charger remains powered up and all the LEDs on the charger remain normal (just as they would be if the charger were in normal charging mode). If I power cycle the charger, it works just fine again for weeks or even months before it fails again into this strange "stuck" state. I've called ProMariner tech support and they don't have a clue.

Anyone ever see a smart charger behave like this?
