I've been scoring the search function and found great documentation especially the excel file that @Moose did for his 22. Has anyone done an excel file for a 25 2007 or newer duel engine C-Dory?
Lots of great information in the manual but it is nice to be able to add and make changes.
The manual seems to be missing the ACR. I'm not convinced my Automatic Charging Relay and Guest Charger are wired correctly and would love to dive into this and how I would add a third battery and solar.
Thanks for all the amazing information so far. |

Kaelc,
That sounds interesting. If you can get back to that post from Moose, would you mind sharing a link to that?
Thank you,
Harvey

I would suggest that you post either a diagram on how your AVR is wired or photos of how it is wired.
Even if you had a diagram for a C Dory 25, yours may not be wired the same. Thataway certainly was anything but factory "standard"--with an addition of at least 15 more fussed circuits. Plus thru the years, much of the 110V AC was also changed. _________________ Bob Austin

As Bob indicates, many boats are wired differently depending on after purchase changes. In addition, a lot of wiring typically is added at rigging by the local dealer and they all do things a bit differently. In my ideal world, the boat manufacturer would have a standardized wiring harness that covered 90% of the most typical wiring but alas, that is not the case in most boats.
The best wiring I have ever seen was on a 33' Rampage. On those boats, the manufacturer does make a wiring harness and EVERY wire has its function printed on it from one end to the other (maybe ever foot or so). When my friend's Rampage had an electrical issue, that made it a dream to fix. I've looked into equipment to print on wires but right now its cost prohibitive for the little guy. But if I were wiring boats for a living, I'd own such a printer. _________________ Roger on Meant to be |
