Bought her end of Sept. near Havre de Grace, trailered up to VT with the 03 tacoma, all tucked in at Point Bay on Lake Champlain awaiting a fine spring, summer, and fall on the waters we know so well from cruising on our old Cal 20 sailboat, which we gave to a friend when we moved to Colorado in "13 (moved back to Vermont this summer and bought the C Dory shortly after, got water crazy after 8 years in the dry we kayaked constantly but fell in love with the dory). Thanks for all the info on C Brats, which is where we found the 16. |

Congrats on the new boat! At least the C-Dory can hold up to the rough conditions Lake Champlain can dish out; I know, just spent the roughest 5 days of my cruising career on the lake with another C-Brat in September with winds from some direction of south every day & up to 20MPH. Very clear water, saw a lot of it over the bow. When does ice out happen in the spring? Bet you can't wait.
Enjoy,

Hey JDrew-
We're over the hill near Bristol.. and also spent time at PointBay this summer..
Good luck getting everything up and running.. and reach out if we can be helpful. We're only a year or so ahead of you C-Dory experience.. but have gone to school on a fair bit in that time.
Best-

JDrew, Welcome and bet you are already counting the days to breakup. Doesn't look like you have a photo album yet. If you want to show off your prize, you need to PM one of the admin guys, and ask them for an album. Find the "Memberlist" in the banner buttons at the top of the page, click there and go to the top 3 listings, DaNag or Tyboo and send them a PM. They will get you set up so you can share pix.
Enjoy the counting
PS: you do not have to have a photo album to submit photos for the 2022 C-BRAT Calendar.
Harvey

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone, psyched that there are C Dory folks over in Bristol! We will be over at the yard in early April getting ready, ice- out usually happens sometime that month. Trying to locate a kicker/ backup 8 or 9 hp by then, although the 40 hp Honda has been kept up and ran fine in the tank. Will contact the members mentioned about creating an album, thanks! |

I have over 1600 hours/each on twin Honda 40s over 20 seasons and never an issue. Just annual oil and lube changes and run at 80% WOT or less. Kicker still a good idea. Enjoy
