Lyle and David, you guys are the coolest. Skinny, fat, it don't matter, you're only interested in a Cat's comfort. Still, in three hours Bambina and I celebrate our 17th anniversary. Any talk about bouncing her should probably wait a spell...

Well now that I've got my fee in, the weather is clearing and everything is on-line for a great weekend in my neck of the woods for a change........I have to bow out! Once again I have the great privilege to ride one of the Navy's mighty aircraft carriers for a week to do a training gig; too many good things happening at the same time. I look forward to the next C-Brat get together and I am determined to see you all soon. Please try to get down to Brownsville and check it out if you can. There is beer on tap and deli food in the marina store and the nicest people you'll ever meet (tell them Doug sent ya). The place has terrific accommodations; heads at the dock, a covered picnic area and a large meeting room above the deli with a kitchen we could use. If there is interest I could "host" an event later in the summer when the salmon and crab oblige to give us something to do. Food for thought.

Have fun,
Doug

Sorry to miss you Doug. Brownsville looks like a cute little marina. We will have to check it out while at Poulsbo.

So, of course the pot luck is Saturday night, right Janet? What are folks bringing to wash down with our beer? What facilities are we going to have?

Pat, I've seen those "party facilities" before and as you can see they are conveniently configured as a barge so if the C-Brats get too boisterous, the harbor master can just "cut it loose" and let the party drift out too sea. (Fortunately, for ya'll, since I'm unable to attend you probably won't be set adrift... Rolling Eyes )

Hi Gang,

Have you got room for one more boat with 2-3 people?

Looking forward to meeting some new folks, visiting with ones we have met and seeing a new area! Getting pretty excited now that I know I can make it for sure.

Looking at launching from Brownsville and boating over to Poulsbo on Saturday morning. Does anyone know how long that takes and what to look out for? Any advice or information would be greatly appreciated since we are new to that area.

Thanks in advance.

Best Wishes & Safe Boating,

John Frazey

Patty here. Re: potluck. I'm planning on a huge pot of HOMEMADE chili just to give a heads-up to everyone. I'll bring bowls and spoons, too. Re: ride from Brownsville to Poulsbo---without a map in front of me, I'm thinking that is not a long ride---about an hour I am guessing. I'm sure I'll be corrected if necessary. Can't wait to see everyone again. It's been a long dry spell of socialization.

Is anybody planning to come down through Saratoga Passage (David-Anna Leigh) on Saturday morning? We are still a bit undecided about whether to take off from Twin Bridges and go thru the Swinomish Channel, down thru Saratoga Passage and across the sound. Our other alternative is to trailer to Everett and cross from there. I guess the deciding factor is the conditions on the water. In either case, we'll be taking off on Saturday morning.

Peter, I am now thinking more than seriously about trailering to Everett and putting in there. Save about 3 hours each way on the boat =$60 gas. Ferry RT is about $40. I am aiming for about noon on Friday at Everett.

We might be driving down from Bellingham and launching at Everett on Friday. Depends on weather (snow they're saying!!). It's going to be cold so lined flannel jeans (or long johns) might be something to consider this weekend.

We were in Everett the other day and checked out the new construction that's going on near the boat launch. Haven't kept up with all the latest Everett news since we're officially no longer Snohomish County residents, so is that a new marina going in or what?

Also, wanted to let you know what the NOTICE said that's taped on the 'pay machine' at the Everett boat launch site......................

OVERNIGHT PARKING FEES ARE NOT ENFORCED
OCTOBER THROUGH MAY 26, 2006.

LAUNCH FEE OF $5.00 MUST STILL BE PAID.

Patty: Looking forward to a bowl of your chili. I'll bring some rolls and of course, a cake.

Thanks Patty and Rich for the time to boat from Brownsville to Poulsbo.

I'll bring a few appetizers to go along with all the chili.

Also assuming that dinner Friday evening is dinner out at some Poulsbo eatery as a group? Anybody have a recommendation? We like the Italian place just up from the marina, but would be happy to try any place that somebody else can recommend...
