I'm sure I speak for all of us when I say I'm excited to start reconnecting.

Still sucks for American citizens returning from Canada. We still have to get another negative test to go home in two weeks from Vancouver Island.

You might want to check, my wife and I drove to Edmonton and back about 4 weeks ago had to have a negative Covid test to enter Canada, but nothing was required on our return to US.

Is that correct? One of my graduate students here at Western Washington University travels to UBC in Vancouver twice a week for her research (day trips) and does not need a test to get back into the US after the work day.

Still sucks for those that can't or won't get vaccinated. Border just needs to open.

Ha! The borders are not open free and clear precisely because some people won't get vaccinated.

Sorry, I should have said flying. We're hoping the rule will change on October 21, otherwise we have to get yet another negative test just to fly home.

If everyone would just get vaccinated, the border could be opened both ways with very few restrictions. So would restaurants, bars, gyms, sports arenas, concert halls, theatres......

When we went to Edmonton about a month ago ,All American citizens were allowed to return to the US via any method and did not require Covid tests to do so . Car , Sea, Air .

If everybody got vaccinated we wouldn't have Covid Shocked Rolling Eyes Hug Hug

AS to the border, I don't get why the mode of travel makes a difference in your vax status.

ok for all the self righteous ass holes here that think everyone should just do what they are told and if we all just stood in line it would all be ok. SOME PEOPLE CAN NOT GET THE VAC. My wife Susan has health problems that do not allow her it get the vacc. As for the open boarder commit, another ass hole. I am for legal immigration and more of it, not wide open borders where, no one is vaccinated, as all people should be that had any brains. I come back here less and less and the self righteous, over educated ( well trained parrots really) Nazis seem to take over. very little of value is offered here any long. Oh yeah Sweden Norway and Denmark have all lifted their restriction. Oh and they never did have a full closed down or forced anyone to get a shot. https://www.statista.com/statistics/1111779/coronavirus-death-rate-europe-by-country/
Also have some of the lowest death rates from covid in Europe if not the world. One third of the UK which had some of the most punishing lock downs. Like I said trained not educated. If you are offended by any thing I have said and you see me on the water, just keep on fucking off. Now go cry to the moderators.
