I had ordered a Dickinson and then picked up a 25'. The only rails are on the side and if mounted this would possibly prohibit the use of a side curtain. Anyone mount it somewhere else? What BBQs have you used om the CD 25' Thinking one of the Magma's with a rotating mount might work better.

I had a custom rail made for my splashwell. I mount our grill there, along with other items. We rarely use the three rear curtains of our camper back.

My BBQ is a Magma round model and I have it mounted on a Scotty Mount. You might be able to do this with yours as well.

My Barby was the Magma oblong one. Also mounted it on a arm which in turn was mounted to a Scotty base. Allowed me to BBQ inside the cockpit or swing out over the side and avoid any fatty drips. Pics in my album if interested.

When not in use, it lived in a plastic box under the helm seat.

Martin.

I concur with Peter. There are many places to use the Magma on Scotty mounts. Our 22 is set up so the BBQ will slip into a mount on either side if moored, the splash well or for traveling, inside the cockpit. I also have the Scotty mounts on the bass boat, pickup camper and horse trailer so we can use the Magma wherever we go.

Sounds like I also have the same grill and mount that Peter has. Works well. I have the scotty mount for the grill on the back starboard quarter of my stern. (Although I have two Scotty mounts for my fishing poles, located on the side rails, that I could use.) Colby

For the love of god whatever you do don’t buy one of those single-use grills. A) huge waste of resources and also really slow. B)If you put them on grass, you often burn a hole into the grass.

No idea what the regulations are, but whatever you use: if the bottom is close to the ground (<50cm), don’t put it on grass, put it on rock/concrete. You’ll also burn a hole into the grass

The Dickinson Sea-b-que Large is the largest and most robust stainless boat barbecues on the market. Cooking for you and your friends was never more satisfying. This model features side handles and hood knobs on the rollaway hood to allow for effortless opening and closing even when the barbeque is hot. Use with a 1 lb green disposable bottle of propane or hoses are available for larger propane tanks. The design also prevents flame outs in the windiest of conditions.
