Hi all, I'm on the fence about selling my boat but figured I'd post it here to judge the interest and perhaps knock me off the fence. No big long description as most of you know what this is but she's in good running condition. Includes trailer with new tires and brakes.
If links are allowed here's a video: https://youtu.be/YdRVCyhlSXY
Another... https://youtu.be/I8G8LK1MS38
Gave up trying to figure out how to post photos here so I put them here:
http://www.mufflerbearings.com/cdory.html
Also, work has me swamped so I may not be able to reply to any questions right away. If I decide to sell the boat will not be available before the end of September as I have some outings planned.
Cheers!

Thanks you everyone for your interest. Since there so many folks interested and have contacted me I want to make sure I am fair to everyone. Any thoughts on how to do this? I could get in touch in the order I received a message indicating interest. I could let everyone know at once and the first person to show up with cash get the boat (not too fair to those that live far away from NC). I could post LOTS of info on my web site and go for the best offer. All thoughts welcome. I could post a riddle and whoever solves it first gets first stab at it |

I usually go with whoever puts/shows up with money first. IME, too many people say they want to buy something I'm selling and say "Please hold [whatever] for me", and then are never heard from again.
For something expensive like a boat I would want some sort of deposit to take the item off the market. This deposit is only refundable if a survey shows that something expensive needs correcting (say, costs more than the amount of the deposit to fix).
If the buyer decides he just doesn't like the boat or simply changes his mind, the deposit is mine. Make sure the terms of the deposit are clear to the buyer before the deposit is taken.
If a potential buyer does not make a deposit, then they take the chance that the item will no longer be available when they get around to looking at it. |

Hi All, the time has come to sell my Tomcat. I'll email everyone I heard from that was interested. Here are a few more details...
Going to start off asking $80k for it and go from there. Here is a list of items that are new in the last year:
Batteries (3) and 3 battery charging system
Port bilge pump. Both pump are the sensing type that don't require a float switch
Grey water discharge pump float switch
Lewmar freefall windlass (covered since new)
Garmin heading sensor and GPS 19x antenna (radar does not work)
All interior lighting was upgraded to LED. Red LED added at help for night vision preservation.
New water pumps
New zincs
New tilt/trim switches on outboards
Stove was returned to manufacturer for rebuild (like new)
New fuel filters (Racor & engine)
Trailer has 4 new tires, brakes (master cylinder, calipers & rotors). I have factory brakes lines, replacement bunk boards and trailer lights that I have not installed. I also have one complete new hub assembly as a spare.
Additional details about the boat:
a/c unit also has heat (120v only), fridge (120V & 12v) water heater looks OK but have never used it. Pressurized water system w/ shower in the head. Garmin GPSMAP 942xs 9" touch screen chart plotter, ...
Outboards are fly by wire with auto engine sync. Less than 200 hrs each.
Cheers!

Hi All, the boat is sold, or at least "the check is in the mail" . The new owner is a C-Brats member and prior C-Dory owner and I'll let them continue the story...
Cheers,
Dennis
Might be looking for a 16 if anyone hears of on on the East coast. |
