Sixteen years ago, we sold our CD 22 Daydream. Fast forward from then to last week! The day before we were leaving Decatur for Sucia, a kayaker paddled up and hailed us "Daydream? Pat and Patty?" It turned out to be Kas, one of the two women who purchased the CD 22 Daydream sixteen years ago!
Kas and Marty sea-trialed Daydream on Elliott Bay. We were a little amused when they put the pedal to the metal and made very tight turns! When they came back in, they both had maniacal grins on their faces and said "We'll take her!" We closed shortly thereafter, and delivered her to them at Cornet Bay, although we ended up taking her back to Fall City and later delivering her to them in Seattle because they did not have a trailer. They renamed her Boat-y-sattva, and made a few posts here as user kasnmarty.
We learned from Kas that both of the Honda 40s were toasted somehow. What they are going to do with the hull is a bit up in the air now. Marty would like to sell, and Kas would like to re-power with an electric motor, knowing that it would be very slow but that is OK with her. You may hear more about it here from them, and if I find out any more about their plans, I will let you all know!

That is so cool!
I might have a similar story to tell soon. I heard from Salmon Fisher on here and he has my first C-Dory, 22 TyBoo. He is hoping to get down here and do some salmon fishing in the river and near shore in the ocean this summer. _________________ TyBoo Mike

Great story Pat. Brings back some good memories I bet. "Pedal to the metal and tight turns." Wonder if they were thinking of towing -- tubes and skiers.
C-BRATS a great place.

Oh boy, a new "Re-Power" post thread! I am getting my opinions all in shape. A preview is "Be a Bear, Be a Grizzly!" and go for the Suzuki 140HP with a 25HP kicker. As Alfred says "Why Not, What Me Worry?!".

I love these "pleasant surprise" stories. I had as similar surprise a couple months ago when i heard from the fellow who bought our 22 footer Miss Mirth. It has been several years and it was good to hear about how his kids have grown and all the fishing adventures they had on the boat. _________________ MartyP
