..never knew a Merelander that could spell (or talk right for that matter) anyway, particularly one from near 'Napliss or Baldemer. I grew up north of there, near Blair (born in Haver de Grass), near the wer so I don't have a problem. |

Right you are. You don't get any more "Old Bay" then Leanordtown, MD, and the international Oyster Shucking Championship. Here on Puget Sound we do have "Oysterfest" in Shelton, which has thousands attending, eating, drinking and cheering their favorite shucker. If you're ever out this way, try and time for Oysterfest, and you'll feel right at home. |

And there is the Oyster Run, on Whidbey Island every year. Attracts a few(20) thousand motorcycle riders there for a whole weekend.

Not sure what year this was but there were 3 guys in 3 Ranger 21's who did a trip from Seattle to Alaska and back one year, several years back.
Not me, that would be a scary trip I think

Guy in Victoria fishes with his 21 Ranger tug for halibut and salmon all the time. If the journey is as important as the destination and you are into fair weather 1-2 person trips than the tug could be a good choice?
I was torn between a 25 ranger and 25 cruiser but speed was the deciding factor for me. Young kids and limited time. Bought the 25 cruiser.
Patience grasshopper the taps will turn off from government subsidies and inflated stock market and the tide will turn and boats will be for sale again. All parties come to an end. |
