Tow Weight should be right at 5,000 =/- with the trailer. Tongue weight should be about 400-500 pounds.

Mine scales at 4900# loaded for cruising and 450# tongue weight.

Midnight Flyer, (a 2007 22 Cruiser with the Mercury 115 4 stroke and a Tohatsu 6 hp Kicker), with the trailer, full fuel tanks, 2/3 full potable water, and normal load weighed in at 5065 lbs, 405 lbs on the tongue and 4660 lbs on it's axles.

Midnight Flyer is on a dual axle. I believe Hardee has a single axle. Colby

I have not commented on this boat or trailer publicly, but did review the ad based on a private inquiry. This same boat sold in the last few years (they go by too quickly!).

I tend not to post negative comments about boats for sale, and this boat does look clean and appears to be in good condition just from the photos. The newer Yamaha with low hours is a plus. There are holes in the dash were previous instruments were located.

The trailer appears undersized for a road trailer. The wheels are small, probably 12" 4 bolt pattern--(13 4 bolt are rare, but will be rated close to the same) at 1100# with best new tires. At that size they may be speed limited. I agree with Colby that the bunks seem to stop 3' short of the transom. I would be reluctant to take any length of trip without further close investigation and even then slowly.

I did post earlier regarding what I believe is a trailer that is way too short for the boat. I edited that out after having second thoughts about my reply to the post. But looks like Bob caught it before I edited it. I trailer a lot (10,000+ miles a year), so I look at the trailer as well as the boat. That is why the trailer really stood out to me in the photos. I suspect the tongue weight on this boat and trailer combination is going to be quite light, if the photos display an accurate picture. I would definitely want more support under the boat's transom as well. Colby

I also noticed some thing on this boat/trailer but also, tend to not post negative things. The first thing I noticed was the 4 lug wheels, so agree, probably 12 or 13. Looks like 12" with as large a tires as you can get for them. It also appears to be a small trailer for a 22 ft boat, with no room to move the boat forward on the bunks and that the wheels are very far aft. Also, that the bunks were mounted vertically. That might give them a bit less flex so they could be extended farther aft of the trailer support. It would be nice to actually know where the bunk ends in relation to the transom, which is where the aft support is needed.

It would work for short hauls, home to launch, but I sure would not use it for any long haul travel.

Actually, my current trailer is a Pacific Tandem. This pix is of the original trailer.

*UPDATE*. 1/19/21. The boat is available. Also, she is equipped with a 1000w inverter (great for charging phones and other electronics from the battery). Current hours on 90hp, four stroke Yamaha is 72.

I don’t check this feed every day so if you require a quick response please send me a private message.

Just thought I’d mention that if you want the boat, but not the trailer, I’ll be happy to sell you just the boat. My typical haul is around 100 yards. Once a month or so I get gas at Wawa, it’s 5 miles or so away. In august it hauled the boat successfully from savannah, ga to Clearwater, Fl. In November I hauled it to crystal river and back, 60 miles there, 60 miles back. I’d hook up tomorrow and haul it across the state with confidence and working lights.

We went to see this boat and took a test drive. It is in beautiful condition inside and out. We both drove the boat and fell in love and decided to buy it. We have always been tent campers and while awaiting funding we realized that this was not for us, just as a motor home is not for us, it's just too close.
